Liv Morgan's WWE Return Won't Be Glamorous

Liv Morgan has grown into one of WWE's top stars in recent years, and her highly anticipated return will only further improve an already stacked RAW women's division. The female roster is thriving at the moment, and Liv has so many potential stories and rivalries on the horizon, including her awkward reunion with The Judgment Day.

The 31-year-old suffered a shoulder injury in June in the midst of potentially re-entering the Women's World Championship picture. She'd held the gold last year and partnered up with Dominik Mysterio to create one of this era's strongest power couples at the expense of Rhea Ripley.

Liv may well return as a babyface because she has become such a mainstream megastar and fan favourite, and could take umbrage with Roxanne Perez, essentially replacing her in The Judgment Day and with Raquel Rodriguez, allowing it to happen. But Roxanne isn't the only possible feud that could make for excellent TV next year.

Liv Morgan's Ready to Rumble

It looks increasingly likely that the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia on January 31st, 2026, will be the destination for Liv Morgan's return. The Rumble always throws up surprises, and it seems fitting for Liv to be one of those and potentially even win the match itself.

Reports suggest Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch are currently the two top candidates to challenge Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer at WrestleMania 42. But Liv should be another option, given she has worked her way into household name status, and her heel character could be the perfect opponent for the babyface Vaquer.

Beyond that, though, there's a need for Liv to be given fresh storylines, and that could come through a babyface run alongside Dom, who is equally earning the support of fans despite his villainous characteristics. Seeing them take on Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins could be a direction they take next year.

But there is one feud that could help make WWE's next top female star, should she be booked into a feud with Liv. It speaks volumes about the latter's success, as she's now somebody who can help put over the younger generation.

Blake Monroe Raises Hell At Liv's Expense

One of the most exciting stars in NXT is Blake Monroe, who most pro wrestling fans are familiar with from her time in AEW as Mariah May. She made the bold decision to jump ship to WWE, and after a topsy-turvy first few months, she's found her groove as the reigning NXT Women's North American Champion.

The 27-year-old seems a certainty to be in WWE's world title picture on PLEs in years to come because she's so accomplished in the ring, but also her character work. She's recently taken a unique direction, introducing NXT viewers to 'the women from hell,' including The Glamour cutting a backstage interview with the darker version of herself.

Monroe has shown she can hold her own in high-profile rivalries, as seen when she feuded with Toni Storm in AEW, a rivalry some call "the best women's feud in wrestling." That's what makes a potential war with Liv interesting, as there are similarities between the duo that WWE could use to their advantage.

"I see a lot of myself in Liv. I feel like she was very underrated for her in-ring and she’s good, but when she found her character and she found her feet… I mean, she was having the run of a lifetime before she got hurt and I’m sure she’s gonna pick back up where she left off. But I see—I don’t know, I feel like I see similarities there and I feel like there could be a really good story" - Blake Monroe on Busted Open Radio

Having Monroe start on the main roster by being placed on screen with Liv could do wonders for the Brit and put more eyes on her. There are several ways WWE could book a Liv-Monroe, and they could even replicate her NXT debut.

Blake Betrays Liv

Liv Morgan's return has many speculating that she'll break away from The Judgment Day or at least come to blows with Roxanne Perez. The former two-time NXT Women's Champion has basically taken her spot in the stable, and there are obvious issues growing, especially between her 'Daddy' Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor.

Raquel Rodriguez is stuck in the middle and could be forced to choose between her former tag team partner, Liv, and her new ally, Roxanne. Once Raquel opts for the younger option, it leaves her now friend-turned-foe searching for backup.

This could lead to the introduction of Blake Monroe, who gets an immediate push by joining forces with arguably one of the top three female stars in WWE. But their bond doesn't last long, as she similarly betrayed Jordynne Grace after joining NXT; it's all a master plan from Blake to position herself in the main event scene on the main roster and target world title success.
