Matt Hardy has confirmed that his AEW contract is coming up this month and that he is unsure what the future holds for him. On his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Hardy said he was surprised the news first reported by Fightful got out earlier this week as he doesn't like to talk about those things publicly and that it didn't come from him. Hardy said he has spoken with AEW about his contract being up and that "we'll see what happens." He added that he has really enjoyed working with AEW head Tony Khan, someone he considers to be "a legitimately good human being." However, he understands it's a business and that things change. "I love AEW. I am cool staying with AEW. I really enjoy the locker room and vibe there. If that's not what happens, it's not what happens," he said.
