McIntyre Reinstated as WWE Airs Shocking Footage From House Brawl

WWE aired a video on their social media accounts and just minutes ahead of WWE Raw, showing footage of a brawl between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre that took place at McIntyre's home over the weekend. As SmackDown GM Nick Aldis was reinstating the Scottish Psycopath, Cody showed up.

McIntyre Has His Match And Is Back In WWE

Nick Aldis had camera crews follow him to Drew's house to document their conversation, knowing that McIntyre can't be trusted. As he was talking to Drew about what he'd done at Saturday Night's Main Event -- interfering in the Rhodes and Oba Femi match -- he noted that Cody pushed for his reinstatement. WWE officials ultimately agreed, as long as they got an apology. Aldis emphasized that McIntyre remains an integral part of SmackDown, and a proposal was put forward: a one-on-one match against Cody Rhodes, with the title on the line.

However, reinstatement came with consequences, including a significant fine — one that would effectively wipe out his Survivor Series WarGames payday.

McIntyre Had Some Terms Of His Own

When asked if he accepted the terms, McIntyre said no. "The thing I want more than anything... I've got no choice... no. Absolutely not," he said. He added, "This is what Cody wants. This is what you want." He argued that Aldis had created an unsafe working environment, and if he accepted, he would just be screwed again.

He dictated his own terms: he got his championship match, he wants to pick the stipulation, and Cody can't touch him prior to the match. Adlis reluctantly agreed, and that's when McIntyre's security camera alarm went off, showing Cody was outside his front door working to get inside. McIntyre flipped out as Aldis went to deal with the champion and Cody and McIntyre began to brawl.

The two fought in the yard, taking out Christmas decorations. Cody yelled, "Merry Christmas a--hole!"

The clip faded to black as security was holding both men back. While the contract to bring McIntyre back wasn't signed or made official, it is likely that this will happen on Friday's episode of WWE SmackDown.
