MJF names two rising AEW talents as the future of wrestling

MJF is rapidly becoming a fan favorite for wrestling fans around the world. The outspoken AEW champion is a master on the mic and a talented in-ring performer.

He may only be in the early stages of his career at 27, but MJF is already a seasoned veteran in the wrestling business. As such, when the world champion gives his thoughts on rising talents, it's worthwhile to take note.

In a recent interview with Dr. Beau Hightower, MJF listed Daniel Garcia and Hook as two of the better young talents coming through the professional wrestling ranks.

"I just wrestled him on TV for the world title, I think Daniel Garcia is a hell of a talent," MJF said. h/t to Fightful for the transcription. "I believe in Hook, wholeheartedly. Every single time I see Hook, he's getting better in the ring and getting more comfortable in front of a live audience, which frankly is the hardest part of the job, and it's why I skyrocketed so fast, it was never an issue for me. I watch Hook; he walks through the curtain, and you would think he's been a professional wrestler for 30 years. That's how much confidence he has."

AEW is currently riding the crest of a wave. They have added some top-level talent in recent months with the additions of Jay White, Adam Copeland and, most recently, Will Ospreay. However, they also have a stable of exciting young talent that's on the rise.

Garcia, Hook and Ricky Starks are some of the healing names on the list. And, of course, Jack Perry and Darby Allin continue to be leading faces for the company and are growing with the brand.

MJF's status as world champion and one of the hottest commodities in the business means that his opinion is taken on board by both fans and wrestlers alike. As such, it wouldn't be surprising to see Garcia and Hook receive a push during 2024, especially if they find a way to connect with the fans and get a storyline over.

For now, though, AEW will focus on Worlds End and putting on a show that's worthy of closing out 2023, which has proven to be the best year in the company's young history.

MJF will headline the show against Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship.
