NJPW reveals lineup for Strong Style Evolved

New matches have been added to next month’s Strong Style Evolved.

NJPW announced eight new matches for December 15 at the Walter Pyramid in Long Beach, California. It was confirmed that Mercedes Mone will defend the Strong Women’s title against Hazuki after the Stardom star won a four-way match at Fighting Spirit Unleashed, becoming the new number-one contender. Mone attacked Hazukia after the match.

Other title matches will see Gabe Kidd take on Ryohei Oiwa for the NJPW Strong Championship. The end of Fighting Spirit Unleashed saw Oiwa make the save for Kosei Fujita after Kidd continued his attack following their match. The Strong Tag Team titles will also be on the line, with new champions Grizzled Young Veterans taking on Royce Issacs & Jorel Nelson.

Other matches will preview upcoming Wrestle Kingdom and Wrestle Dynasty matches. Shingo Takagi and Yota Tsuiji will team up to face their respective Tokyo Dome opponents Konosuke Takeshita and Jack Perry. Clark Connors, KUSHIDA, Fujita, and TJP will also do battle.

CMLL will also be represented at Strong Style Evolved, with Lio Rush taking on Hechicero.
