WWE LFG is over, with Jasper Troy and Tyra Mae being named the men's and women's winners, but a big part of the series was seeing these newcomers trash their opponents and even some wrestling legends. Jasper Troy had the nerve to go after CM Punk live in person, but a just as intriguing feud was between Drake Morreaux and Anthony Luke, with the two using their real-life relationships with Roxanne Perez and Maxxine Dupri as part of an LFG on-screen storyline.
So insanely proud of him. Drake Morreaux babyy, don’t sleep on him like bubba did!! <33 #WWELFGhttps://t.co/k3pplJohVB— roxanne (@roxanne_wwe) May 5, 2025
While she was still in NXT, Roxanne Perez appeared on WWE LFG, not to compete, but to support her real-life boyfriend, Drake Morreaux. That led to one of Drake's competitors, Anthony Luke, trying to stand out with coaches like The Undertaker, Booker T, and Bully Ray by contrasting his real-life relationship with Maxxine Dupri against Morreaux and Perez.
In a promo battle segment, Anthony Luke told Drake Morreaux:
"You're dating Roxanne Perez, right? She's only half your size, but how's it feel that you'll never be half the wrestler she is?"
That got a response from the crowd, but Morreaux told the cameras that he took the put down as a compliment because he was just getting started and would love to be on her level. He shot back to Luke:
"My girl is already a better wrestler than you and your girl Maxxine will ever be."
Ahead of their WWE LFG match, the two Performance Center wrestlers kept at it with the Roxanne Perez comments, with Anthony Luke telling Drake Morreaux:
"Not even Roxanne can save you, big boy."
Luke told the cameras that he was serious about creating a character, just like his coach, Booker T, instructed. While he played the cocky heel, Drake was comfortable as the supportive boyfriend, detailing how Roxanne being there helped him. Neither man won WWE LFG, but if they can make it to Raw one day, perhaps we can get a mixed tag match between the two wrestling couples.
