One well-known WWE superstar on "Monday Night Raw" has been playing the role of a babyface.
It isn't unusual for a WWE villain to have a change of heart and vice versa. The most popular example would be John Cena, who hadn't played the role of a heel on WWE TV since 2003. Cena turned his back on fans and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes by aligning with The Rock at the end of "WWE Elimination Chamber."
In the case of a long-time heel on "WWE Raw," the role change has been made solely for untelevised events. Fightful reports that Ludwig Kaiser has taken on a babyface role for several live events on WWE's European tour. Kaiser has defeated Austin Theory and Grayson Waller in separate matches in Germany.

The report noted that Kaiser isn't expected to become a permanent babyface on WWE TV at this time. With that said, it was mentioned that crowd responses could change plans. Kaiser had a no holds barred match against Penta on the March 17 episode of "WWE Raw" in Brussels. Kaiser was a heel in that match.
The closest a babyface turn for Kaiser has been teased was when Vince McMahon had control of WWE's creative team. Kaiser had an abusive partnership with Gunther and often took chops and slaps from "The Ring General." A breakup had been hinted, but it never materialized.
Now that Kaiser has been on his own more often, it could leave the door open for a possible hero role in the future. Kaiser has not won gold on the main roster, which is often brought up on WWE TV. He has won the NXT Tag Team Championship twice with his former partner Giovanni Vinci.
