One of the most decorated members of the WWE women’s division has reportedly signed a new deal with the company. PWInsider reported on Monday that Asuka has signed a new long-term WWE contract. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed. At the moment, the 42-year-old Asuka is out of action recovering from a knee injury. She has not wrestled since dropping the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles at Backlash. Asuka underwent surgery after noting this May that she was taking a break to deal with a knee issue that had been bothering her for a while. Asuka did appear during WWE’s house show tour of Japan this July, accompanying her Damage CTRL stablemates. The three-show tour marked WWE’s first time back in Japan since 2019. Since joining WWE in 2015, Asuka has been one of the most featured members of the women’s division.
