Rey Mysterio has signed a new contract with WWE. Dave Meltzer reported on Monday that Mysterio has re-signed with the company. PWInsider reported on the same day that Dominik Mysterio had re-signed with the company as well, with Dominik’s signing taking place last month. Rey Mysterio has been associated with the WWE on and off since 2002. He made his latest return to the company back in 2018, and two years later started teaming with his son, Dominik. The two continued to team until last summer, when Dominik turned on Rey, leading to a match at WrestleMania this year that Rey won. Mysterio is currently out of action with a knee injury. He was written out after Santos Escobar turned on him following WWE Crown Jewel, upset that Mysterio chose Carlito over him. Since splitting from his father, Dominik Mysterio has joined the Judgment Day stable, closely aligning himself with Rhea Ripley. He is a two-time NXT North American Champion, most recently losing the title to Dragon Lee at NXT Deadline earlier this month.
