Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY vs. Kabuki Warriors Set for WWE Crown Jewel: Perth
WWE

During this past Monday’s episode of RAW, WWE confirmed a new match for its Crown Jewel: Perth PLE. The PLE is set for October 11 at the RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia, Australia. It marks the first Crown Jewel event outside Saudi Arabia.

Women’s Tag Team Match Added To Crown Jewel: Perth

WWE announced that Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY will be facing The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) at Crown Jewel: Perth. The match was made a week after Asuka and Sane turned on SKY, and Ripley got misted in the process. For some time, Ripley had been warning SKY that her friends, especially ASUKA, were not to be trusted.

During this week’s episode, the show opened with Ripley calling out the Kabuki Warriors, which caused SKY to come out. She was conflicted about their relationship, telling Ripley that while she was right, she was still undecided about the Kabuki Warriors. A video then aired of Asuka demanding that SKY apologize to her, and while it aired, Asuka and SKY attacked Ripley. SKY ended up helping Ripley, and Asuka misted her.

Later in the show, SKY made up her mind about her old friends and told Ripley that she had talked to Adam Pearce about her and Ripley having a match against them at Crown Jewel. It was then confirmed.

Other matches set for Crown Jewel: Perth

One of the biggest matches on the card is John Cena versus AJ Styles. This was a match made for the fans and an opponent worthy of Cena’s final WWE days. As noted, Cena’s last PLE was against Brock Lesnar, and it wasn’t well-received by fans. The main problem was the one-sided nature of the match. You can only watch Cena get hit with F5s before it gets boring. Anyway, the upcoming match will mark Cena’s last WWE match in Australia.

The Men’s and Women’s Crown Jewel title matches are also set. For the Men’s match, it will be WWE Champion Cody Rhodes versus WWE World Champion Seth Rollins, while for the Women’s match, it will be WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton versus WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.

The Men’s and Women’s Crown Jewel title matches were created just last year, on November 2, 2024. The winners of last year’s matches were Cody Rhodes and Liv Morgan. Rhodes had defeated Gunther, while Morgan had defeated Nia Jax. So, once again, Crown Jewel: Perth is set for Saturday, October 11. For the US, it will be available on ESPN's DTC service and Netflix elsewhere.
