Saraya -- also known as Paige during her run in WWE -- recently addressed the swirling rumors surrounding a potential return to WWE. Speaking to WrestleZone, she offered clarity on her current status with the company, her return, and her immediate future plans.
11 years?!! Nah I ain’t that old yet. https://t.co/aqloZVo8bU— SARAYA (@Saraya) April 8, 2025
Saraya admitted that she is open to returning to WWE as Paige, but she has not had any conversations with the company about a comeback at this time.
"People think I’m going back to WWE or whatever, because there’s this huge rumor mill happening right now. But I haven’t spoken to them. At least not right now, I haven’t spoken to them."
While this doesn't mean she's ignoring a call from the company, Saraya did say she's got other things on her mind that she seemingly needs to get sorted first. She discussed her some business ideas that she wants to get started and ironed out, including some external projects in 2025. "That’s something that with this year, I kind of want to get all my business and stuff, deals out the way, like under my name," she shared. There is no guarantee that WWE will be on board with her doing these things if she were to return right away.
Saraya wants to build her brand outside of wrestling and it's likely a bit harder to do that if she jumps right back into Paige again.
She added that she was optimistic that WWE’s current leadership under Triple H would be more supportive of her outside ventures, should she decide to return.
"WWE now is being more open and receptive to people doing outside stuff," Saraya explained. "They are much more comfortable with that and are much more accepting of that. If I ever did go back, I feel like they would be understanding at this point and kind of let me do my thing." Whether WWE is interested remains to be seen.
It was 11 years ago yesterday that Paige made her debut on the main roster and won the Divas Championship from AJ Lee. She became the youngest Divas Champion at the age of 21. Responding to a post that showed a video of her debut, she noted, “11 years?!! Nah, I ain’t that old yet.”
Saraya left WWE in June 2022 after her contract expired, later debuting in AEW where she returned to in-ring action for the first time since 2017.
