Seth Rollins' Injury Timeline Update Sparks WrestleMania Return Hopes
Seth Rollins gives a WWE Raw promo while wearing sunglasses

Seth Rollins is working through an injury. An injury serious enough that he had to relinquish the World Championship, and, until now, all signs have pointed to The Visionary being off the cards for WrestleMania 42. That has now changed, as when asked what the timeline looks like in terms of a potential return, Rollins gave a timeframe in which the next WrestleMania firmly falls.

Seth Rollins Is Three Or Four Months Away From Returning To WWE

Rollins was asked how his recovery is coming along and how long he thinks he might be sidelined for during an appearance on Mohr Stories. "I have a few more months left with my shoulder. I had the rotator cuff surgery eight weeks ago, almost nine from where we're talking right now," Rollins said. "So, you know, I got another three months, four months at least."

While that's still a pretty vague window, it's the firmest one yet that Rollins has provided. When the former World Champion was previously asked about how his recovery was going, he simply said that it was "on track". We now have a goal that we can circle on the calendar, and even though it's still a very big circle, it's a circle in which WrestleMania 42 currently falls.

Even though Rollins' return window has been narrowed down, and there seems to be a chance he's back in time for WrestleMania, it's still pretty vague. Also, even if he hits that three-month mark, that only gives him three weeks to build to a potential WrestleMania match. If the end of March is the best-case scenario, then Rollins may well be saved for a post-WrestleMania return.

Penciling Rollins in for a return right after WrestleMania also takes the pressure off him to be ready by April 18/19.

The Men Rollins Will Feud With When He's Back Are Kind Of Busy Right Now

The train Rollins was on has also already left the station without him, and it seems to be one that will keep rolling through the start of 2026 and onto the Road to WrestleMania. CM Punk has won the World Title that was taken from Rollins, and Bron Breakker, the man who led the attack that put him on the shelf, is the one primed to take it from him.

Rollins recently commented on Breakker and Punk's war over the World Title, stating that he doesn't recognize Punk as World Champion as he never truly lost the title. Rollins also made it clear that whoever has that title when he's healed up will be his first port of call when he's back. Breakker beating Punk at WrestleMania and his celebration on Raw the night after being interrupted by a returning Rollins would be huge, and according to The Visionary himself, he could be back in time to make that happen.
