Let's hope Becky Lynch doesn't see the latest rankings from Sports Illustrated. Considering she believes the publication considers her the greatest of all time, being overlooked this year won't sit well. It happened not just once, but three times.
Which wrestlers, matches, heel turns and mic skills were the best of the year? The Takedown On SI has weighed in with our 2025 Pro Wrestling Awards and our writers determined it was a really good year for a certain cowboy. 🤠https://t.co/zpFmgvdoq5— SI Wrestling (@SI_wrestling) December 17, 2025
Lynch is known for saying that she's the greatest of all time and "it's not just her saying it." She's repeatedly noted that Bleacher Report says it and Sports Illustrated says it. Unfortunately, the latter didn't say it this year.
Sports Illustrated has released its 2025 End of Year Awards. Her name is nowhere to be found.
Mercedes Mone won Female Wrestler of the Year, leaving Lynch on the outside. She came in as a runner-up in three categories: Best on the Mic, Comeback of the Year, and Heel Turn Of The Year.
Of late, Lynch has been all about the awards. She's been self-promoting the fact that she won the Inaugural Internet Integrity Award and the VLOG of the Year. There are likely more coming, but the fact she fell short on Sports Illustrated's rankings will be something the likely irritates her to no end.
In her eyes, she's the best at everything. The fact that she didn't win a single award and was name in third place in three different categories is likely something fans will never hear the end of.
