Sipa USA

WWE Backlash in St. Louis started out with a banger as United States Champion Jacob Fatu defended his title against LA Knight, Drew McIntyre, and Damian Priest. At the end of the match came a shocker, as New Japan Pro Wrestling star Jeff Cobb made his WWE debut, assisting Solo Sikoa to help Fatu regain the gold. The champ seemed completely unaware of the plan, so what will happen next?

Jeff Cobb Makes His WWE Debut At Backlash

During the match, Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre were taken out after a table spot in the crowd, leaving Jabob Fatu and LA Knight left alone in the ring. Knight had Fatu laid out on the announce table and went to the top rope, read to drop down on the champ when Solo Sikoa pulled him from the table. An upset Knight stepped down to the ringside area, yelling at Sikoa when a man was shown from behind clotheslining Knight. As the camera found the attacker's face, the crowd roared to see Jeff Cobb, with Michael Cole yelling, "That's one of the biggest free agents on the planet!"

Cobb then attacked LA Knight before sending him back into the ring, allowing Jacob Fatu to get the pin. Before he did, Jacob shot several confused looks at Sikoa and Cobb, with it apparent that he wasn't in on their plan and might not be happy with it. Fatu's inevitable babyface turn continues.
