While Brock Lesnar's WWE future is still in doubt, The Beast Incarnate has kept busy, most notably being a supportive parent to his kids, specifically when it comes to their athletic careers. Duke Lesnar, the son of Brock and Sable, is one step closer to reaching the big heights of the NHL, having been drafted by the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League.
Brock Lesnar's genes just keep on producing some talented children. Duke Lesnar, the 14-year-old son of the WWE and UFC legend and former WWE star Sable, has taken a massive step in his hockey journey by being drafted into the Western Hockey League. The Medicine Hat Tigers recently selected Duke with the 115th overall pick in the WHL Prospects Draft.
Duke stands at 5'11" and weighs 168 lbs at just 14 - sounds about right for The Beast Incarnate's teenage son. The junior Lesnar played the 2024-25 season with the Notre Dame Hounds U15 Prep team in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League. In 30 games with the team, Duke scored 13 goals and recorded 15 assists, along with 43 penalty minutes (no surprise he's got a bit of a mean streak going).
Currently, the Medicine Hat Tigers are tied with the Spokane Chiefs at one game apiece in the Western Hockey League Championship Series. Duke being drafted by the finalists and potential league winners is just icing on the cake for the Lesnar family.
Duke isn't the only Lesnar offspring with impressive athletic skills. His half-sister, Mya Lesnar, is an accomplished track and field athlete who broke school records in shot put and ultimately became an NCAA Champion - just like her father. Duke's older brothers, Alexander and Turk, also competed in minor league hockey, but Duke seems to be the most athletically skilled Lesnar on the ice.
Duke Lesnar received some backing from two big figures in the UFC following the draft, with legendary fighter Tony Ferguson and UFC President Dana White offering their support on social media:
As Duke prepares to attend the Medicine Hat Tigers' development and rookie camps this summer, fans and analysts alike are eager to see how he will develop in the WHL, a key stepping stone toward a potential future in the NHL.
