'The New Level' makes AEW debut at Wembley Stadium

It's a new day, yes, it is. Those were the words echoed through WWE arenas for over a decade when Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, better known as "The New Day," made their entrance.

Much to the dismay of WWE fans, Woods and Kingston were released from the company in May. Some wondered where the future WWE Hall of Fame tag team would end up, but many wrestling fans looked at the calendar and knew exactly when they'd be seen again.

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods arrive in AEW

AEW hosted its annual "All-In London" event on Sunday at Wembley Stadium and that is where many expected Kingston and Woods to arrive. They did just that, but the two are now going by a new name in their new company.

Kingston and Woods emerged to team with Swerve Strickland in a contest for the AEW Trios Championship. The two made their entrance to ASAP Ferg's hit song "New Level" and that is the name the two will now go by.

Additionally, Woods will now go by "Awesome Austin Creed," the name he went by prior to his arrival in WWE.

WWE made a big mistake by losing an elite tag team

All reports around the time of The New Day's departure from WWE pointed to the tag team being asked to take a major pay cut. The two felt that was disrespectful and asked for their release from the company.

Now, just under four months later, Kingston and Creed have emerged in AEW and are already holding championship gold. The two will certainly be WWE Hall of Famers one day, but the way their tenure ended will be forgettable.
