Crown Jewel didn’t go as Roman Reigns would have liked. ‘The OTC’ told The Usos on Raw this past Monday that he doesn’t need their help when the twin brothers assured their cousin they had his back against Bronson Reed. Instead, the ‘Tribal Chief’ singled out Jey and reminded him to stay laser-focused on carving his own legacy.
But the Usos couldn’t keep themselves from coming out to their cousin’s aid after Bron Breakker clocked Reigns with a brutal spear out of nowhere at ringside. Jimmy and Jey entered the equation to even the odds. However, their presence eventually backfired on the former WWE Champion. In the closing moments, after Reigns knocked Breakker off the ring apron, he got hoisted up by Reed.
The former Bloodline boss somehow escaped the predicament by pushing the ‘Auszilla’ in front of him with Reigns’ back opposing an inclined table in one of the turnbuckles. Jey Uso had Reed lined up for a spear, but the latter got out of harm’s way in time to force a massive screw-up that saw the ‘Yeet Master’ inadvertently spearing Reigns through the table.

Uso then got wiped out by Breakker after he turned around in disbelief. Reed saw the opening in a vulnerable Reigns and hit him with the Tsunami to win the matchup. As Reed and Breakker were celebrating with Paul Heyman outside of the ring, a fallen Reigns was heard yelling at The Usos for having messed it up.

‘The Head of the Table’ gave his cousins a mouthful by relaying how they disavowed him. Reigns was upset as the Usos’ shenanigans re-established the argument that the former Undisputed WWE Champion couldn’t handle his business on his own. At last, the Pensacola-born wrestler told both Jimmy and Jey that he still loved them, but he didn’t want to see their faces until Christmas.
Even though one could argue that Bronson Reed didn’t take down Roman Reigns fair and square, a win is a win regardless. ‘The Aussie Bulldozer’ has gotten himself added to that elusive list of superstars who have pinned ‘The Tribal Chief’ in singles matches this decade.
Before Reed upset Reigns in his home country on Saturday, only Cody Rhodes had held that distinction, which he earned after ending the OTC’s 1316-day world title reign at WrestleMania XL.
That in itself tells how gargantuan a result Reed has managed to register against his name. What makes it an even more feel-good moment for him is the fact that Crown Jewel was Reed’s debut WWE match in Australia. He’d missed out on traveling to the land down under in early 2024 when the company staged its Elimination Chamber PLE in Perth.

The Vision member had to stay back in the US for his wife for the birth of their first child. Beating Reigns this time around was absolutely pivotal for Reed to gain some credibility as the imposing monster. He’d already lost to the Anoa’i clan stalwart at Clash in Paris in a rather underwhelming fashion. But after a shenanigans-heavy Australian Street Fight at Crown Jewel, he’s even with ‘The OTC’.
Both these men are expected to be a part of the WarGames match at Survivor Series next month. As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has internally mapped out the teams with Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, Brock Lesnar, and Austin Theory taking on Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso, and either Jimmy Uso or LA Knight. The fans are perplexed about Theory’s alliance with Rollins’ Vision, but it might come to fruition soon.
