Tiffany Stratton Feels Fine After Scary Moonsault Landing
Tiffany Stratton Retains WWE Women's Championship In Surprising Ending To SummerSlam Match
  • Tiffany Stratton says she's physically fine after the botched moonsault; precautions taken, no major injury.
  • She missed NXT Homecoming and Wrestlepalooza slots; her Wrestlepalooza defense now set for Sept 26 SmackDown.
  • Stratton's been champion since Jan 3, 2025; could face Stephanie Vaquer at Crown Jewel if still champ Oct 11.

WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton has given an update about how she’s been feeling since her match on the September 12, 2025, episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

Tiffany Stratton Says She’s Feeling Fine

During her interview with Going Ringside, the Women’s Champion gave a good update. She’s feeling fine physically. She said:

“Physically, I'm okay. Obviously, on that Moonsault, it was a little bit of a rough landing. However, I was fine. I think it was just more precautionary and kind of just monitoring and seeing if anything was bad about the fall. But for the most part, I'm doing good. I'm great." (h/t: WrestlePurists)

As noted, Stratton was not clear to wrestle at NXT Homecoming last Tuesday, due to what happened on SmackDown. At the time, Bryan Alvarez from Wrestling Observer Radio had speculated that she suffered from a concussion because she smashed her head on the ground from the botched moonsault.

Though according to Stratton, she was fine after it, and everything was precautionary. Stratton was supposed to tag with Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley to face Fatal Influence at NXT Homecoming. Lyra Valkyria ended up taking her palace. The TV special celebrated the history of NXT and its one-night return to Full Sail University.

Tiffany Stratton Was Originally Scheduled For Wrestlepalooza

WWE also had pulled Stratton’s Wrestlepaooza match, where she was supposed to defend her title against Nia Jax and Jade Cargill. The match has since been moved to this upcoming Friday’s (September 26) episode of SmackDown.

So Stratton will be returning to the ring soon.

She’s been the WWE Women’s Champion since defeating Nia Jax on the January 3, 2025, episode of SmackDown. Her last title defense at a WWE PLE was at SummerSlam against Jade Cargill in August. She also successfully defended the title against the likes of WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, Bayley, and Charlotte Flair.

So Stratton will be back in the ring defending her title on September 26. If she keeps the title until October 11, she will probably be facing Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer at Crown Jewel in Perth. WWE has already announced that Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins will be facing each other to see who will become the Men’s Crown Jewel Champion. Last year, Rhodes won the title, while the Women’s Crown Jewel Champion was Liv Morgan.
