Tiffany Stratton is carving out a legacy to be proud of. The current WWE Women's Champion has held the title since defeating Nia Jax on Jan. 3, where she cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase on an episode of "SmackDown."
During her championship reign, Stratton has overcome multiple challenges, including matches against Charlotte Flair and Trish Stratus. However, in a recent appearance on the "No-Contest Wrestling" podcast, Stratton detailed her much larger goal.
In her interview, Stratton explained how she wants to become the longest-reigning Women's Champion in WWE history.
"I’m just trying to take every day and be in the moment and not think too much about the future," Stratton said (h/t to Fightful for the transcription). "...I’m just trying to focus on being in the moment and enjoying my title reign and hopefully holding it for the next year...Maybe I’ll be the longest WWE Women’s Champion ever. So I’d like to make that a goal of mine. Actually, I’m declaring it right now. I want to be the longest WWE Women’s Champion ever."
Stratton is one of the most popular members of the women's division. If she can continue to push merchandise sales, perform in the ring and showcase her skills on the microphone, there's no reason for her current title reign to end anytime soon.
However, WWE may think twice about sanctioning a record-setting reign at such an early juncture in her career on the main roster.
The WWE Women's Championship has a relatively short history, having been introduced in 2016, following the retirement of the WWE Divas Championship. Bianca Belair currently holds the record for the longest Women's Championship reign, with 419 days.
Therefore, Stratton would need to keep the title until the end of February 2026 to take the record and become the new longest-reigning Women's Champion. Of course, there is a long time between now and then, with multiple Premium Live Events.
As such, Stratton will have her work cut out for her. But, there's no doubt that she will produce some excellent matches as she defends her title against any challenger in the company.
