Tiffany Stratton Suffers Injury, WWE Gives Update

WWE has reported that Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton suffered an injury on SmackDown. Posting on their Instagram, WWE said:

BREAKING NEWS: @tiffanywwe is getting her knee evaluated, but reports are that Tiffany Stratton is adamant about going through with the match on #SNME. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Jade Cargill injured Stratton's knee on SmackDown. Cargill returned to save the Women's Champion from a post-match attack at the hands of Kiana James and Giulia, only to turn heel and attack Stratton herself.

Cargill vs. Stratton for the WWE Women's Championship was announced for Saturday Night's Main Event during the SmackDown broadcast.

Is Tiffany Stratton Really Injured?

We don't know. This could be part of the storyline, or it could be a legitimate injury. Kayfabe is still alive. WWE's post and fan reactions on social media are proof that the wrestling concept has evolved in a digital age.

If Stratton is injured, it remains unknown if she will be forced to take time off or require surgery. That is obviously the worst outcome for the champion who has had a dominant run in 2025.

That would also not bode well for Cargill, who is still struggling to build in-ring credibility. The triple threat match on the September 26, 2025, edition will go down as one of the most embarrassing moments of the year.
