The Path to TNA Bound For Glory has started. This long path until the October 12 PLE will have two PLE stops: Emergence on August 15, and Victory Road on September 26. So, many things could happen until Bound For Glory. This includes TNA iMPACT and NXT every week, as well as PLEs.

The iMPACT preview and the TNA Emergence preview were clear. Emergence is just a few hours away, and there’s a lot of electricity in the air. Like last week, this episode was all about action, with five matches announced. Let’s Nygma-dive into the episode, as there are some things to say about it (as always).

TNA iMPACT Results (8/14/25)

  • First Class (AJ Francis & Rich Swann) & Trick Williams defeated The System (Brian Myers, Eddie Edwards & JDC)
  • Dani Luna & Indi Hartwell defeated Harley Hudson & Myla Grace
  • Matt Cardona defeated John Skyler (w/ Order 4)
  • Mike Santana defeated Eric Young (w/ Judas Icarus and Travis Williams)
  • Champions vs Challengers Match – Cedric Alexander & The Rascalz (Myron Reed & Zachary Wentz) defeated TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater & TNA Tag Team World Champions The Hardys (Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy)

The Nygma’s View

Emergence Things

Moose has been attacked by Trick Williams and First Class backstage. The six-man tag team match, originally scheduled for the main event, will kick off the episode. Nygma says: Is it a surprise? Absolutely not. A man in fear would do anything to be sure his enemy comes weakened to their encounter.

TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella presided over the Emergence Knockouts Tag Team Summit. Stuck in the middle of 8 women, Marella could barely say a word. The Elegance Brand, the IInspiration, NXT’s Fatal Influence, and the team of Xia Brookside and Léi Ying Lee went into a heated war of words.

It led to an all-out brawl that needed to be broken up by security. Nygma says: It was exactly like Monty Python’s Pearl Harbor rendition (watch, you’ll understand).

Eric Young didn’t come alone to face Mike Santana. It didn’t take long for The Northern Armory to get involved as they attacked Santana at ringside. Minutes later, Santana retaliated as he wiped out Judas Icarus and Travis Williams with a dive to the outside. And Santana won.

The Northern Armory jumped Santana from behind, but they were chased off by Sami Callihan. Nygma says: How can you cleanse without a good sponge and clear water?

Frankie Kazarian hosted The King’s Speech with TNA International Champion Steve Maclin and Jake Something. Maclin and Something weren’t here to talk, but to fight. Kazarian escaped after both men attacked him. Something planted Maclin with a Black Hole Slam. Nygma says: The Emergence match will be quite Something.

The Champions vs Challengers match was as fast and furious as expected. Leon Slater and The Hardys vs Cedric Alexander and The Rascalz was a crazy one. Slater really made the match, but one little second and a Lumbar Check gave the win to the Challengers.

Nygma says: As I told you, but I may be wrong, there’s something rotten somewhere. I hope we’ll find out what at Emergence.

State of Emergency

While Alisha Edwards was at Moose’s side, Brian Myers, JDC, and Eddie Edwards rushed to the ring to give Trick Williams and First Class what they deserved. The fight immediately spilled to the outside as JDC took out everyone with aerial offense. But, when Myers disposed of Williams over the top rope, from behind, Swann pinned Myers with his feet on the ropes to win. Nygma says: The game is not over.

Indi Hartwell and Dani Luna joined forces once again as they battled rising stars Myla Grace and Harley Hudson. Very nice match with Hartwell giving the win to her team and a nice handshake. But, after the match, Rosemary, who was watching from the audience, sprayed mist on Hartwell’s face.

Nygma says: That’s probably a welcoming rite from Rosemary to all the new Knockouts…

Later, Rosemary told Gia Miller that Indi Hartwell must go through her if she wants to become the Knockouts World Champion.

I told you that if Matt Cardona won the match, he would have to run. Despite Jason Hotch and Tasha Steelz being involved, Cardona neutralized Hotch and put Skyler away with Radio Silence. After the match, Mustafa Ali directed Agent Zero to destroy Matt Cardona.

Nygma says: It was as clear as rock water (our French way to say crystal-clear). With Agent Zero, Mustafa Ali found a weapon of mass destruction. As disgusting as it can be, it’s also very clever.

Later, Matt Cardona requested a match against Ali at Emergence.

Could Become Serious With Time

Tension was brewing between former tag team partners Dani Luna and Jody Threat as they both tended to Indi Hartwell in the recovery room. It looked like a battle for the custody of Indi Hartwell. Nygma says: Former Spitfire partners may end up spitting fire at each other.

Steph De Lander and Mance Warner have been suspended for their “sweet love” actions inside Santino Marella’s office last week. Nygma says: I need to know what shocked Santino Marella and Arianna Grace that much. It must have been Rated Triple-R…

Coming Outta Nowhere

I had to create a special category just for this segment, as it is a very special one. In the TNA Emergence preview, I was telling you why Sami Callihan chose Mike Santana. The fact is, Santana is not the only wrestler Callihan has had a long story with. I can say Moose, Penta, Tessa Blanchard, and many others, but forgetting Eddie Edwards would be a shame.

Sami Callihan promised to retire from in-ring competition if he failed to defeat Mike Santana at Emergence. He received a pep talk from one of his greatest rivals, Eddie Edwards. I remember talking about the infamous baseball bat accident with Edwards in Manchester in 2018. Believe me or not, it was a blessing in disguise.

Eddie Edwards completely reinvented himself after that. The matches he had with Callihan were fabulous. “Crazy Eddie” was brilliant to watch with his friend Kenny, the kendo stick. It’s also the moment when his wife, Alisha, became a full-time TNA Knockout. Edwards is right to say Callihan is the Joker to his Batman: “We were supposed to fight forever.”

He is right to say Callihan has to show one last time who The Death Machine really is. Yes, they are the last of a dying breed, but they are not dead yet. TNA Wrestling wouldn’t be the same without Sami Callihan, Eddie Edwards, Moose, or Rosemary. They are the Nygma’s pillars. Period.

The Nygma’s Last Word(s)

Damn, I loved this episode. The action was excellent. The last-minute build-up to Emergence was good. Santino Marella was brilliant. Sami Callihan and Eddie Edwards brought me back to the early years of my wrestling-writing career. In case you haven’t noticed it yet, I love this company; writing for it is incredibly fulfilling. They have made me feel like a part of the family (no tears, Nygma).

I’ll see you tomorrow with a complete TNA Emergence coverage. The 8-week path to Bound For Glory remains eNYGMAtically long and epic. Till next week, may the Nygma be with you.
