TNA iMPACT Preview (10/2/25) – Victory Road Fallout And NXT Showdown Go-Home
Courtesy of TNA Wrestling

The Path to TNA Bound For Glory may be raging on, but TNA invading NXT has not been without consequences. NXT Showdown is set for October 7. The cards may be reshuffled, and we only have two TNA iMPACT episodes to end up setting the stage for this. TNA Victory Road, WWE No Mercy, and last night’s NXT literally had the effect of a series of tornadoes on the TNA Wrestling universe.

At Victory Road, Ash by Elegance forfeited the TNA Knockouts World title. The new Champion is NXT’s Kelani Jordan. Frankie Kazarian became the new TNA International Champion. NXT’s Je’Von Evans will face Leon Slater for the X-Division Championship at Bound for Glory.

At WWE No Mercy, NXT General Manager Ava made a massive announcement during NXT No Mercy. On Tuesday, October 7, it will be TNA vs. NXT on a special Showdown edition of WWE NXT. The best from TNA and NXT will clash for supremacy in two Survivor Series-style matches, one for the men and one for the women. TNA World Tag Team Champions The Hardys will take on NXT Tag Team Champions DarkState (Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin) in a Winner Take All match.

At NXT, the teams were revealed. Je’Von Evans, Myles Borne, NXT World Champion Ricky Saints, and TNA World Champion Trick Williams will face TNA International Champion Frankie Kazarian, TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater, Mike Santana, and Moose. NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, Jaida Parker, Lola Vice, and Sol Ruca will face Cassie Lee, Jessie McKay, Mara Sadé, and TNA Knockouts World Champion Kelani Jordan. Also, Mustafa Ali will face Ethan Page for the WWE NXT North American Title.

Usually, crossing the lines also means crossing the reviews. Bound For Glory may be a TNA PLE; taking a look at what happens on Tuesday nights has become essential to understand what may happen on Thursday nights. That’s never been truer, and it’s going to become bigger and bigger.

Meanwhile, the two major TNA titles are in the hands of NXT talents. What remains terribly eNYGMAtic…

TNA iMPACT Preview & Card (10/02/25)

TNA iMPACT – Matches Announced

  • TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship match:  The Elegance Brand (H and M by Elegance) w/ The Personal Concierge vs The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay)
  • Alisha Edwards w/ The System vs Tasha Steelz w/ Order 4
  • Nic Nemeth vs The Home Town Man
  • The Angel Warriors in action

TNA iMPACT – Segments Announced

  • The King’s Speech with TNA International Champion Frankie Kazarian – Guest: TNA Knockouts World Champion Kelani Jordan

The Stakes at TNA Wrestling

The unpredictable action from Victory Road carries over to iMPACT! when the Knockouts World Tag Team Titles are up for grabs. The Elegance Brand stole one from The IInspiration thanks to champagne-soaked tactics, but now they get their rematch. Will Elegance keep the gold, or will Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay claim their place atop the Knockouts division?

Fresh off winning the International Championship at Victory Road, Frankie Kazarian delivers another King’s Speech. Kazarian has promised to usher in a new era for TNA, but standing across from him is NXT’s Kelani Jordan, the newly crowned Knockouts World Champion. With Bound For Glory right around the corner, expect sparks to fly when Kazarian and Jordan share the spotlight.

After being unmasked by Nic Nemeth at Victory Road, The Home Town Man seeks revenge this Thursday night. Nemeth has shown no remorse for the embarrassment he caused, while Home Town Man vows to defend his pride in front of his people.

Xia Brookside and Léi Yīng Lee have formed a dangerous new duo, appropriately named the Angel Warriors. Now they look to continue building momentum in the Knockouts tag team division, and with Bound For Glory looming, every win matters.

Tensions between Order 4 and The System spill into the Knockouts division as Tasha Steelz battles Alisha Edwards. Both factions have been at each other’s throats for weeks, and with Hardcore War on the horizon, neither side can afford to give an inch. Which Knockout will carry the flag for her faction on iMPACT?

The Nygma’s View

TNA Wrestling taped this week and next week’s episodes last Friday. The four matches and the segment announced for this week will obviously be related to everything that has happened since TNA Victory Road, on the Path to NXT Showdown, and TNA Bound For Glory. One way or another.

The IInspiration faces The Elegance Brand for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship. The match was set for Victory Road, but Ash by Elegance changed the fate of the night. In the hairbrushes and hairspray world, nothing really changes. Nygma says

The Angel Warriors have a match. Léi Ying Lee and Xia Brookside definitely have the potential to go for the Knockouts Tag Team Championship. They have to prove it. Nygma says: Warriors are my kind of Champions.

The Order 4/The System war continues with the Knockouts. Before the 5-on-5 Hardcore War at Bound For Glory, Alisha Edwards faces the NutCracking belly dancer, Tasha Steelz. That would be a nice match, but the System and Order 4 will be at ringside. Nygma says: On paper, I see two great Knockouts competing. In reality, TNA puts a coin back in the machine, which means, not in French, they fuel the Bound For Glory fire without really going anywhere.

Nic Nemeth unmasked the Home Town Man at Victory Road, even if he and his brother didn’t win the match. That was mean, but horrifyingly normal from the TNA’s dirtiest players. Even if it’s a singles bout, expect Ryan not to be too far. Nygma says: The Home Town Man has never lost a match in TNA. Why would it change?

Frankie Kazarian hosts a new edition of The King’s Speech. His guest will be NXT’s Kelani Jordan, the new TNA Knockouts World Champion. Last night, on NXT, Jordan said that she was accepting all the responsibilities related to the title, even if that meant going against NXT. Nygma says: I hope Jordan was telling the truth, and she will prove it to Kazarian, the King of TNA.

I’ll see you on Friday for TNA iMPACT! Results and Review. I will then take a few days off before NXT Showdown and Bound for Glory. The last few days were also a series of writing tornadoes for me. And another series is coming (previews, reviews, interviews, and more). Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
