TNA iMPACT Preview (9/18/25) – Championships Matters

The Path to TNA Bound For Glory may be raging on, but Victory Road is in 3 weeks. On September 26, a new PLE takes place live from the Edmonton Centre in Edmonton, AB. The cards may be reshuffled, and we have three TNA iMPACT episodes to set the stage for this.

On the September 16 episode of NXT, reigning TNA World Champion Trick Williams reunited with Carmelo Hayes to battle DIY in tag team action. During the match, several TNA stars took to social media to express their thoughts on the partnership between TNA and NXT.

Later in the night, Trick Williams interrupted NXT Champion Oba Femi and Ricky Saints on The Grayson Waller Effect. This confrontation would set the stage for a historic Title for Title Winner Take All match between Williams and Femi next Tuesday on NXT. The winner will then face Ricky Saints at NXT No Mercy, at least for the NXT Championship.

Usually, crossing the lines also means crossing the reviews. Victory Road or Bound For Glory may be TNA PLEs, taking a look at what happens on Tuesday nights has become essential to understand what may happen on Thursday nights. That’s never been truer.

Then, a major TNA title remains in the hands of an NXT talent. What remains terribly eNYGMAtic…

TNA iMPACT – Segments Announced

The Stakes at TNA Wrestling

After defeating The System last week, The Nemeths immediately invoked their contractual rematch for the TNA World Tag Team Titles. Matt and Jeff Hardy, fresh off a confrontation with the Nemeths, are out for payback and determined to retain TNA gold.

The Knockouts division takes center stage as the dominant Elegance Brand faces off with Masha Slamovich and The IInspiration in a huge six-Knockout tag match. With both the Knockouts World Title and Tag Team Titles set to be defended at Victory Road, tensions are rising.

Following a backstage attack, Indi Hartwell is medically cleared and gets her shot at retribution against Dani Luna. Both Knockouts are looking to climb the ranks in the division, and with title implications looming, this singles match could shape the future of the Knockouts division.

Eric Young has set his sights on “cleansing” TNA, and Judas Icarus is directly in his path after Young’s vicious attacks on both Icarus and Travis Williams last week. With Travis in his corner, can Icarus get revenge, or will Young continue his destructive ways?

Faction warfare continues as Mustafa Ali battles Brian Myers. Both Order 4 and The System have been stirring up chaos in the iMPACT! Zone, and with Ali’s Victory Road match against Moose looming, momentum is crucial.

After being blindsided by TNA World Champion Trick Williams, Mike Santana returns to the iMPACT Zone with something to prove. Frankie Kazarian returns with a new installment of “The King’s Speech” this Thursday on TNA iMPACT! After his recent backstage run-in with Jake Something, what will Kazarian have to say, and who will he target next?

The Nygma’s View

We have six matches and a segment on the menu this week, a nice recipe for an action-packed episode.

Mike Santana is once again announced in action. Last week, Trick Williams blindsided him, a joke not to do twice in a row. Whoever may appear, every match until Bound For Glory is a reason to settle Santana as a future TNA World Champion. Nygma says: Whoever it is, Santana wins and proves to Williams, Oba Femi, and Ricky Saints that Boricua is a state of mind, not just a Puerto Rico citizen’s nickname.

Dani Luna has blown a fuse; it’s now confirmed. Indi Hartwell is now sure to face the TNA Knockouts World Champion at Bound For Glory, and will even be the guest referee of the Victory Road title match. Nygma says: Dani Luna is so unpredictable that she could cost herself the win. Add Jody Threat to the equation, and the situation could turn into violent chaos.

The Nemeths finally have the Slammiversary rematch against The Hardys for the TNA World Tag Team titles. The dirtiest brotherhood in the game will have to play a very tricky game to win. This rematch is their last chance, as other contenders have been knocking at the door. Nygma says: The Hardys retain, but that doesn’t mean the Nemeths won’t try to cheat or use interferences.

Frankie Kazarian hosts a new episode of his King’s Speech. The name of his guest is unknown. Due to what happened last time, I’m not sure his guest will be the TNA International Champion Steve Maclin, who Kazarian will face at Bound For Glory. Nygma says: Surprise, surprise. It could be related to Maclin, one way or another.

The Northern Armory turned its back on Eric Young. Judas Icarus and Travis Williams seemed not to be “cleansing” fans. The flip side of the coin they will find out about is that being Young’s enemy is not a good thing. Then, EY is so unpredictable and devoted to his cleansing mission that he may easily blow a fuse. Nygma says: I believe in Beginner’s luck more than in Joe Hendry.

Mustafa Ali faces Brian Myers. Sorry, “Ali Almighty,” his goons, The Great Hands, Tasha Steelz, and Agent 0 face the System, so Myers, the Edwards, Moose, JDC, and Matt Cardona. It will be a mess like we have never seen before. Nygma says: There are enough people in both factions to make a 5-on-5 hardcore or cage match at Bound For Glory. This storyline really needs to come to an end.

The Elegance Brand faces its opponents at Victory Road. When Ash defends the Knockouts title against Masha Slamovich, M and H face the IInspiration for the Knockouts Tag Team title. In the hairbrushes and hairspray Elegance world, it’s no holds barred. Any way to cheat or steal is worth taking. Nygma says: Could Slamovich vs. Ash match be a hair vs. title match? I would love that.

I’ll see you on Friday for TNA iMPACT! “After The Bell.” Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
