TNA Genesis Main-Event Made Official

• Jake Something defeated Jesse Funaki.
• Jody Threat defeated Jada Stone.
• TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Champions The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay) defeated Rosemary & Killer Kelly
• The King’s Speech with TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian. Mike Santana came out and interrupted him. He challenged Frankie Kazarian for the TNA World Title at TNA Genesis PPV on January 17. The match is made official.
• Backstage segment with the NXT talent talking about the Steel Cage match.

New #1 Contender for the X-Division Title

• NXT’s Lexis King defeated Matt Cardona via roll-up after Cardona was distracted by Stacks trying to hit him with the TNA International Title. After the match, Stacks and King beat down Cardona. Steve Maclin came out to make the save.
• The Elegance Brand (Heather & M By Elegance) defeated Harley Hudson & Myla Grace.
• Six-Way match for a TNA X-Division title shot: Cedric Alexander defeated BDE, Jason Hotch, Ryan Nemeth, Dezmond Xavier, and Jake Something after landing the pinfall on BDE.
• Backstage promo with Gia Miller and Rich Swann. Swann said that First Class is over, and he left the group. AJ Francis came over and attacked Swann.
• Mara Sadé superkicked Ryan Nemeth (again).

The Righteous and The Hardys

• Backstage segment – JDC vs. Eddie Edwards is made official for TNA Genesis PPV.
• Another backstage segment with Santino Marella and Frankie Kazarian. Marella told Kazarian he’ll be defending the title against the winner of a 20-man Battle Royal next week.
• The System (Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards w/Alisha) def. Sinner & Saint (Judas Icarus & Travis Williams).
• Matt and Jeff Hardy came out to the ring. The Righteous, Dutch & Vincent, interrupted the Hardys and made their way out.
• Backstage, Santino Marella said Matt Cardona is unable to compete in the Steel Cage match later against Team NXT after being injured earlier in the night by Stacks and Lexis King. Marella will replace Cardona for Team TNA.

The NXT vs TNA Steel Cage Match

• Dog Collar Match: Dani Luna defeated Indi Hartwell.
• 20-Man Battle Royal: Bear Bronson won and will fight Frankie Kazarian for the TNA World Title next week.
• NXT’s Tyrieke Igwe attacked Matt Hardy outside the cage. The Righteous carried off Hardy before ever making it to the ring.
• The Angel Warriors (Léi Ying Lee & Xia Brookside) defeated Tessa Blanchard & Mila Moore.
• Elijah was out for a concert. Tasha Steelz, escorted by Special Agent Zero, interrupted him. Mustafa Ali made his way out to a podium set up at the top of the ramp. The Great Hands tried to attack Elijah from behind, but he cleared the ring. Ali smashed the guitar over Elijah’s head.
• Steel Cage Match: Team TNA (Mike Santana, Steve Maclin, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, and Santino Marella) defeated Team NXT (Brooks Jensen, Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo, Lexis King, Tyson Dupont, and Tyrieke Igwe) after Mike Santana nailed Jensen with the Spin The Block. After the match, Arianna Grace came out and NutCracked her father. She and Stacks attacked him until Santana and Steve Maclin made the save.
