In the post show at SNME, Triple H revealed the reason behind having John Cena tap out to Gunther. The WWE CCO claimed that Cena giving up in his retirement match was in the best interest for the business. Hunter gave Cena his flowers for doing what's best for the industry and added he would continue to do the same going forward.

John's last match ended with him smiling before tapping out to Gunther for the first time since his gimmick of 'Never give up' started. Speaking about it in the post show. Hunter claimed that Cena knew how to leave the place better than he found it.

"John has said the right thing his entire career that it is about leaving this place better than you found it. I think that there’s no way for people to understand that in the moment, but you do what is right for the business, you do what is right for this industry," Triple H said in the post show.

"What I will do what I believe is right for this business," - Triple H

Cena tapping out in his last match has led to widespread criticism from the fans. Hunter added that the Leader of the Cenation Army has done what's best for business throughout his career. Triple H revealed that he will continue to do it for the rest of his career. 

"John has done that his entire career, and I’m going to do that my entire career. What I will do what I believe is right for this business. It just is what it is — It’s part of what we do. That is the role we have chosen," Triple H added.
