Triple H has announced that Sycho Sid will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026 as part of the Legacy Wing.
Also known as Sid Vicious, Sidney Eudy made his mark in both the WWF and WCW throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. Over his career, he captured the WCW Championship twice and the WWF Championship twice. One of his most memorable moments came at Survivor Series 1996, when he defeated Shawn Michaels at Madison Square Garden to win his first WWE world title—earning cheers from fans despite portraying a heel.
Sid competed against wrestling legends such as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, frequently moving between the major promotions during the wrestling wars of the '90s.
He passed away in 2024 after a battle with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
No matter which moniker you knew him by, Sid’s intensity was palpable across the ring and through your TV screen. A multi-time champion in @WWE and WCW, and a two-time #WrestleMania main event, it’s a pleasure to announce that he will take his rightful place in the 2026 Legacy… pic.twitter.com/7CDqthAftr

The Legacy Wing allows wrestlers to be honored in the Hall of Fame without a full ceremony presentation. Established in 2016, it recognizes past stars from previous generations without taking television time for speeches. In recent years, WWE has invited the families of legacy inductees to the ceremony to receive acknowledgment.
The 2026 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will be held Friday, April 17 at Dolby Live in Las Vegas. Tickets remain available.
The event will be headlined by Stephanie McMahon and AJ Styles, and will also feature the inductions of Dennis Rodman and Demolition.
