On the December 8 episode of WWE Raw, Jey Uso reunited with Jimmy Uso in the tag team division. For the first time since his singles run since 2023, the Main Event Jey has been moved away from his solo run. Given how his lacklustre booking has been in 2025 and the mediocre tag division, Jey was probably moved away from his singles run.
During his Bloodline run in 2023, Jey got naturally 'over' among the fans. By 2024, he was one of the top merchandise sellers, which led to his massive singles push. Jey won the IC Title, his first singles title, Royal Rumble, and his maiden World title at WrestleMania, all in the gap of 6 months.
However, things didn't seem as simple as that. He was botching moves and didn't seem a world champion material despite the push. Hence, his world title reign lasted for a little under 60 days. He still got multiple shots at the world title and other big matches.
Online fans repeatedly got frustrated with his push, which led to criticism. On the other hand, the Raw tag team division has been lacking credible duos. While Dragon Lee and AJ Styles have been great, they need to have a strong team to challenge them.
Hence, it made sense to move Jey back to the tag team division. The Main Event scenario is filling with new guys and is only going to get crowded with the NXT stars making their main roster debuts. Hence, Jey will be useful in helping the tag division with Jimmy Uso.
