Last month, Ethan Page unveiled a new NXT North American Championship, transforming it into a memorial for Canada. Being from there, he declared the country was better than the United States. Two weeks later, cutting that promo led to a confrontation with Tavion Heights, a former USA Olympian.
He got an advantage, though, as fellow Canadian Chelsea Green chose his side. But Heights had a trick up his sleeve t he next week in Tyra Mae Steele, who was also a former USA Olympian.
A peace treaty attempt was made on the August 19, 2025 episode of NXT. However, things quickly spiraled out of control. It was later announced that Page and Green would face Heights and Steele in a mixed tag team match at Heatwave. Both sides have two strong people on them, but who will walk away with the win on Sunday?
Ethan Page made a huge impact in his NXT debut by attacking Trick Williams last summer. Since then, he hasn’t stopped making waves across the brand. He held the NXT Championship for 86 days after winning it 40 days after his debut. His title reigns didn’t stop there, as he’s been the NXT North American Champion for 84 days as of Tuesday.
Chelsea Green returned to WWE in 2023 and has also been successful in collecting championships. She was the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion and has been Women’s Tag Team Champion with Piper Niven and Sonya Deville.
Both Page and Green have done so much in such a little amount of time, which is why they have an advantage. They know how to be successful in the ring so working together should come naturally to them, leading to an decisive victory.
There are quite a few wrestlers that came to WWE from the world of amateur wrestling like Brock Lesnar, the Creed Brothers, and Kurt Angle. Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele both share that distinction with them. Heights was an accomplished Greco-Roman wrestler, winning many medals in his career.
Most notably, he won a gold medal at the 2020 Pan American Championships in Ottawa and competed in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. Steele also had a very successful run as a freestyle wrestler.
Like Heights, she also competed in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo but also won a gold medal. Out of the 12 medals that she won during her career, 10 of those medals were gold. Both of them have experience in a very physical and technical style of wrestling. If they use those techniques to their advantage, the match should be an easy win.
Looking at the four competitors in the match, there’s a lot of accomplishments between them. Page and Green were professional wrestlers years before they started workin g for WWE. That experience has definitely helped them, as the past couple of years have been very kind to them in terms of championship success.
Both of them know how to win, so the victory should be easy. But counting out Heights and Steele would be a mistake. The two of them also wrestled before joining WWE, but they used amateur wrestling to hone their skills.
That led to both of them winning many medals in their careers. They’ve used their experiences to carve out solid NXT careers. A win on Sunday would prove that the hype around them is justified. The two teams both have distinct advantages that will hopefully lead them to the pinfall victory.
