It has been a long time since we’ve seen her, but will we ever see Tamina perform as a WWE Superstar again?
She last worked a match over a year ago, as part of WWE Main Event. And while she was included in the 2023 draft process, that didn’t end up meaning a whole lot. So with the long absence and lack of any injury or other news, what’s going on with Tamina? Will she wrestle as a WWE Superstar again? Or has she been quietly phased out?
While we don’t have clear answers, we do have some clarity. Fightful reported over the weekend that Tamina had been removed from the active roster. Similar actions had been taken with Lashley and MVP. Both of those Superstars have expiring contracts and rumblings that they may exit WWE. With Tamina’s status being changed to “off the roster”, does that mean the same for her?
PWInsider provided a follow up to the report from Fightful. While she is not on the active rosters for RAW or SmackDown, she exists under the miscellaneous section. As such, she is still with the company and under contract as of this moment. Understanding how highly regarded she is backstage and within the women’s locker room, retaining her makes a ton of sense. If she has not been looked at as a mentor or even a possible producer, it may eventually happen.
Tamina has had a nice run with WWE, and she has deep roots within the company thanks to her family. It would be a shame for her to call any other promotion home. She may not have had the in-ring run of someone like Natalya, but she has found a way to contribute in her own way. And while her way doesn’t earn her title belts, those in the back respect her and she seems to be staying with WWE. So, is Tamina going to be a WWE superstar for much longer?
