Want to get all the details on the Wrestlemania 40 card? Well, look no further as we have you covered with all the latest official and rumored matches set to go down at the fortieth edition of the legendary yearly WWE spectacular.
The Wrestlemania 40 card is still coming into focus so the only bout with a set placement is the WWE Universal title rematch between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes in the main event of night two. However, Iyo Sky vs. Bayley for the Smackdown Women’s Championship, Rhea Ripley vs. Becky Lynch for the Raw Women’s title, and Seth Rollins defending the World Heavyweight title against Drew McIntyre are all locked in for the event.
The bouts listed below are rumored or official for the event. Their placement on the card is our best guess until the official bout order is revealed closer to the cards on April 6 and 7 in Philadelphia, PA.
The main headliner for Wrestlemania 40 (on night two) will be the rematch between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes for the WWE Universal Championship. However, night one will likely see a main event of World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins defending his title.
It seemed like Rhodes was going to step aside and let The Rock face his cousin Roman Reigns in the night two main event of Wrestlemania 40. However, “The American Nightmare” sensed something off about the planned bout and instead chose to face the current champion.
The Rock took certain comments from the 2024 Royal Rumble winner after he made his decision as disrespectful to his family and chose to slap the star during the Wrestlemania 40 kickoff event in Las Vegas.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson does not have an official match at the event yet, however, the expectation is the WWE icon will have a bout on the card, likely on night one.
The Rock and Roman Reigns are cousins linked by the connection the legendary Anoa’i and Maivia wrestling families formed during the 1980s.
The current WWE Universal Champion will have a rematch with 2024 Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes. The pair faced off at the 2023 event after Rhodes won that year’s Rumble.
