On the RAW after WrestleMania, new allies Paul Heyman and Seth Rollins welcomed Bron Breakker into their ranks. Rollins & Heyman joined forces in the main event of WWE WrestleMania 41 Saturday, and although at the time a faction was not on the top of everyone’s minds, RAW after WrestleMania implied that a brand new world beater faction was on its way.
Looking across the rosters of RAW, SmackDown and NXT, there are several names who would benefit from becoming a part of this new ‘dangerous alliance’ with Heyman at the helm, and we will assess a few of them here.
Trick Williams has been one of the faces of NXT over the last couple of years, improving ten fold in every aspect. However, Williams is still fairly inexperienced and still has plenty of improving to do… but he has now maxed out his time in NXT by winning everything and now arguably being ready to move on.
Putting him with the likes of Paul Heyman and Seth Rollins hands him an envious position of learning from one of the best talkers in the business and one of the best in-ring workers in the world too. Williams feels like the perfect name to push to the moon as soon as he arrives on the main roster, rather than risking him getting lost in the mix of the midcard or undercard.
Ever since his call up to the WWE main roster, Carmelo Hayes has impressed in the ring but not been able to break out into that next level, wandering around the midcard and putting others over. Something is needed to take him a level higher on the card, and that could be joining up with Paul Heyman.
Learning under the tutelage of Seth Rollins and being the guy to dominate the midcard division as either United States or Intercontinental Champion in this faction would be a great role for him to have - similar to that of Randy Orton in Evolution back in the day. As proven by his time in NXT, when handed an opportunity, Hayes can thrive under the spotlight, and this is the sort of opportunity he has been waiting for.
Ricky Saints is someone who can already hold his own on the mic and in the ring as shown by his time in AEW, but he is still fairly new to the WWE audience, making an alliance with Paul Heyman and Seth Rollins something that could firmly establish him as a force to be reckoned with on the WWE main roster.
Saints has some big supporters in WWE in the form of Cody Rhodes and CM Punk, so it wouldn’t be a shock to see him brought up quickly to RAW or SmackDown and thrust straight into a main event program in order to make a name out of him quickly, perhaps even feuding with the two veterans.
WWE is clearly using Paul Heyman’s new alliance to make a star out of Bron Breakker, and they should do the same for others on the card… especially for someone who so desperately needs something new. Austin Theory is someone who has a great look and strong fundamentals, but he has been left to dry under the new regime of WWE despite being on course to being a big star under Vince McMahon, with a dead in the water tag team run alongside Grayson Waller.
Bringing him into the mix would do wonders for his WWE career, and it might even save him from obscurity. Theory, similar to the likes of Carmelo Hayes or Ricky Saints, could fill that ‘Randy Orton in Evolution’ role in the group, bringing a lot of arrogance and attraction to the faction.
