Wrestling legend Ric Flair has found himself in some hot water after taking aim at a fellow all-time great in a since-deleted social media post.
Last week Hall of Fame WWE commentator Jim Ross went public with his cancer battle and received an outpouring of support from countless fans. However, Flair took it as an opportunity to rip the announcer on his X account.
Saying, "Jim Ross Will Always Be Jim Ross, Seeking Attention. Focus On Your Recovery. @JRsBBQ!"

Backed into a corner after the post, the "Nature Boy" claimed it was just a "joke" and some "lighthearted fun."
"If You Can't Take A Joke From A 76 Year Old Man, Then You Are Living Life Too Seriously," Flair said. "It Was All Harmless, Lighthearted Fun! Just Trying To Make People Laugh & Smile!"
That's certainly one way to describe taking a jab at someone's cancer reveal but Flair wasn't done. In another follow-up post he only added to the confusion by praising Ross' sportscasting career before citing a "difference of opinion" between the two.
I Just Made It Clear To The World In An Article Coming Out On Sports Illustrated By Justin Barasso, That Jim Ross @JRsBBQ Was On My Mount Rushmore Along With Gordon Solie, Gene Okerlund & Jerry Lawler. That’s High Praise Because It Was Very Difficult For Me To Leave Out Tony… pic.twitter.com/lgol748k7s

"I Just Made It Clear To The World In An Article Coming Out On Sports Illustrated By Justin Barasso, That Jim Ross @JRsBBQ Was On My Mount Rushmore Along With Gordon Solie, Gene Okerlund & Jerry Lawler. That's High Praise Because It Was Very Difficult For Me To Leave Out Tony Schiavone. But Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler Were The Greatest Tandem Ever!" Ric exclaimed.
"Nobody Should Be Upset Because Two People Have A Difference In Opinion. It Happens In Life! I Lost A Son, He Lost A Beautiful Wife. We Have A Lot In Common. We Were Both Considered The Best At What We Do. Let's Leave It Alone At That And All The Haters Can Focus On Someone Else Now."
A few years ago, Flair said on his podcast that Ross "lost every bit of credibility with me in life." Adding that "all he is starving for and leaning on in life is to be relevant because he ain't."
Clearly there's some sort of divide operating there, but kicking a man when he's down like that (before mildly taking it back) is a little unbecoming of one of the greatest wrestlers to ever enter the ring.
