After taking a month off, the WWE 2K25 DLC train rolls on today with the arrival of the game's Attitude Era pack. The new DLC drop adds five Superstars to the roster, most of which, as the name of the pack implies, are pulled from WWE's Attitude Era. However, as expected, today's update also includes two more roster additions, and it doesn't look like you need access to the latest DLC to get them.
Four of the core five Superstars added to the roster today are wrestlers who made names for themselves during WWE's Attitude Era. Mark Henry returns to 2K's virtual roster, and he's brought his Nation of Domination running buddy D'lo Brown along with him. It marks the first time since WWE 2K16 that Brown has been playable in a mainline WWE video game.
Even more surprising than D'lo's inclusion is Billy Gunn's. Gunn and Road Dogg have been added to WWE 2K25 today, allowing you to make The New Age Outlaws Tag Team Champions one more time. The thing is, Gunn is still under contract with AEW, making him part of a very small group of wrestlers who have appeared in WWE video games while under contract with AEW.
The fifth Superstar added to 2K25 today has everyone else in the pack beat when it comes to the gap between their last video game appearance and this one. Victoria is back, marking the first time she has been in a WWE video game since SmackDown vs. Raw 2009, so before 2K took the reins from THQ. Victoria recently signed a legends deal with WWE, so fans were hoping to see her show up in a video game sooner or later.
As revealed by 2K before today's patch going live, there are two additional wrestlers joining WWE 2K25 today - Nikki Bella and Goldberg. The extra wrestlers are not a part of the Attitude Era DLC. The good news is that means you get them for free. The bad news is you have to unlock them using VC, which can be earned through gameplay.
VC can also be bought for real-life currency, so if you don't fancy working for Goldberg and Bella, you can technically just buy them.
As for the standard DLC, if you bought one of the more expensive editions of WWE 2K25, then the Attitude Era pack will either be applied automatically or waiting to be claimed and downloaded for no additional cost on your platform of choice. The same applies to those who have bought 2K25's Season Pass. If neither of those things applies to you, the DLC can be bought separately, or you can buy a Season Pass and get today's DLC along with all of the other packs released so far.
