WWE’s next Premium Live Event is Clash in Italy, the first WWE event of its kind to be held in the country. The show takes place on Sunday, May 31, marking a rare return to Sundays for a WWE PLE. The event was officially announced in February as part of WWE’s nearly month-long European tour.
As with most international events, Clash in Italy will feature a special early start time for viewers in the United States, making it an afternoon show rather than the traditional primetime slot.
The event follows Saturday Night’s Main Event the weekend prior and is shaping up to be one of the most significant cards of the spring, headlined by both men’s world championships and some of WWE’s biggest stars.
Here is a full preview of the event, including start time, confirmed matches, expected additions, and how to watch live.
Undisputed WWE Championship
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Gunther
Tribal Combat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu
At least one women's match will be added, likely involving Sol Ruca, whom WWE has been presenting as a featured attraction since her main roster call up.
A Tribal Combat match is a no-disqualification stipulation, similar to a Street Fight or No Holds Barred match, where there are effectively no rules.
What separates it is the storyline significance. The winner is recognized as the “Tribal Chief,” the undisputed leader of the Anoa’i family. Because of that, the outcome carries weight beyond the championship, adding a layer of long-term narrative stakes to the match.
Roman Reigns is no stranger to Tribal Combat. He previously defeated both Jey Uso and Solo Sikoa under the stipulation, with his clash against Jey Uso at SummerSlam 2023 standing out as a defining chapter in the Bloodline story. Watch that match below.
WWE Clash in Italy begins at 2:00 p.m. ET in the United States.
The kickoff show is expected to start approximately two hours earlier, at 12:00 p.m. ET.
In the United States, WWE Clash in Italy will stream live on ESPN Unlimited.
Internationally, the event will stream on Netflix.
