Drake is the latest A-list celebrity to partner up with WWE following an announcement made for the company's Wrestlepalooza Premium Live Event. The revival of the ECW PPV takes place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday (September 20) at 7 ET/4 PT and will be the first-ever PLE to stream on ESPN.
WWE have worked with some of the biggest music artists in the world over the years, including Travis Scott and Bad Bunny. Scott's partnership with WWE saw him appear in the main event of WrestleMania 41, an event in which his song 'FEIN' was used as one of its theme songs.
Drake's catchy tune 'Nokia' has now been announced as the official theme song for Wrestlepalooza. NXT commentator Vic Joseph, filling in for Michael Cole, gave the announcement this past Friday night on SmackDown (September 12): "We need to give a special thank you to one of the biggest artists in the world, Drake, for the official theme song of Wrestlepalooza, Nokia."

While Drake has yet to appear in a WWE ring, he attended a show earlier this year when he was spotted in the crowd at Elimination Chamber at Rogers Center in his hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in March. The 'God's Plan' rapper watched John Cena's shock heel turn as he aligned with The Rock and Travis Scott.
Drizzy reacted to that PLE by telling fellow rapper, Lil Yachty, "I'm sold" while posting a collection of snaps from the night. WWE used celebrity interest in the promotion as the focal point of their promotion package for Wrestlepalooza, with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Jelly Roll, and George Kittle featured.
Drake recently fuelled talk of involvement with WWE when he spoke of his admiration for WWE RAW star Rhea Ripley. The Canadian said: "My FYP page is just all Rhea Ripley. She’s a wrestler, she’s like my muse but she’s…I’m the opposite of everything that she likes."
Ripley is one of WWE's biggest stars and has become a household name outside the squared circle with a huge following on social media. She is a former two-time Women's World Champion, although she won't be in action at Wrestlepalooza next Saturday.
'Mami' was on hand to help Triple H announce that WrestleMania 43 would be taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in 2027. It will be the first time WWE's blockbuster PLE heads out of North America.
