Evolve “Prime Minister” Stevie Turner is here to make an announcement to the fans… before she is rudely interrupted by Swipe Right, Jackson Drake, Bryce Donovan, and Zayda Steel. Meanwhile, Drako Knox is seen in the VIP section.

Brad Taylor officially declares themselves as “The Vanity Project” — the newest faction in Evolve. Brad insults the people in the crowd, as they continue to boo them, and he gives a promotional talk to each member on the team. He says the Vanity Project will take over Evolve, but Stevie Turner finally speaks, moving Jackson Drake’s match on the card to right now!

Jackson Drake vs. Sean Legacy

Sean Legacy goes right after Jackson Drake, getting the early of the get-go and sending him to the floor. Sean then hits a huge somersault dive on him to the outside, but he is distracted by the Vanity Project members, who puts him down after distracting the referee. This prompts the ref to eject all of them from ringside, as the crowd cheers in approval. We then take a break.

We are back, and Legacy is making his comeback. Legacy with a series of strikes, a German suplex, and a missile dropkick for two. He tries the Shambles, but Drake escapes and follows it up with the Lethal Injection for two. Drake opens his knee pad, but he misses the high knee, leading to a big exchange that sees both men go down. We get another slugfest, which ends with Drake hitting the running knee with the exposed knee pad.

Drake attempts a dive, only for Legacy to get in the ring and counters with a Spanish fly for two. Legacy misses a swanton bomb, and Drake gets a reverse rana for a nearfall. Drake jams a thumb in Legacy’s eye, but Legacy is still in the fight. “Super” Sean Legacy counters Drake’s Lethal Injection into the Shambles to get the pinfall victory (9:42).

Earlier today, Kylie Rae appeared in a pre-taped cameo. She says she is no stranger to darkness, and she wants a chance to redeem herself against Wendy Choo, challenging her to a match next week!

EVOLVE Face-Off: Keanu Carver vs. Harlem Lewis

Harlem Lewis knows the tournament for the Evolve championship is going to come down to these two, and he is confident he will win it. Keanu Carver claps back by going through the list of people he defeated so far on Evolve to show off his impressive undefeated streak. Both men stare each other dead in the eyes, but Prime Minister Stevie Turner shows up to book them in a match. But it will be a tag team with these two as teammates, where they will take on Swipe Right!

Zara Zakher vs. Aria Bennett

Aria Bennett is accompanied by Layla Diggs. Both girls go for a series of quick pin reversals to start, but it is Aria who goes after Zakher’s arm to establish an advantage. Zakher escapes that, going after Aria with a dropkick and a crossbody. They go up the top rope, which sees Aria hitting a top-rope rana for two. Enzuigiri and a neckbreaker gets two for Aria. However, Zakher pops out of nowhere with Control Z, a cutter variant, to get the win (3:56).

Zara is interviewed afterward, but as she is about to speak, she is interrupted by a mysterious doll from Wendy Choo. It has a note attached to it, saying “Kylie, I accept”, meaning Wendy has officially answered Kylie Rae’s challenge for next week!

The Vanity Project appear in the VIP lounge, claiming even though they have been kicked out at ringside, they can still be here at ringside.

Carlee Bright vs. Kalyx

Kendal Grey accompanied Carlee Bright to the ring. Carlee is overwhelmed by Kalyx early, who is taken off guard by her bizarre approach. Kalyx reverses Carlee’s headscissor into a backbreaker, but the latter slips out of a fireman’s carry into a sunset flip for the surprise win (2:32).

Timothy Thatcher vs. Bryce Donovan

They do a fierce lock-up to start before it turns into a striking exchange. Thatcher gets the better of that with a belly-to-belly throw, as we immediately head to break. And we return with Thatcher putting Donovan in a half crab into a surfboard submission. Donovan gets out of that and follows with a big clothesline for two. He hits a few clubbing blows, putting Thatcher down for two.

Donovan keeps wearing Thatcher down with his size and power before sending him to the ringpost outside. Donovan brings him back to the ring and a suplex gets two. Donovan with a reverse butterfly suplex for two. Thatcher tries avoiding some of Donovan’s attacks, eventually finding an opening with an enzuigiri. A butterfly suplex looks to signal a comeback, but the Vanity Project interferes, allowing Donovan to finish Thatcher with the Black Hole Slam for the win (8:12).

We go backstage, where Stevie Turner is seen watching the TV, not being very happy about this faction. Harlem Lewis and Keanu Carver then walk up behind her, previewing next week’s featured bout, and we head off the air…

Final Thoughts

This was a fun post-WrestleMania edition of Evolve. I am liking how the storyline is heating up here, with each character on the show coming into their own now after getting a few weeks of development. All eyes will be on the huge tag match next week, which should draw lots of intrigue.
