  • WWE fans think they caught Paul Heyman trying to relay a secret message to CM Punk on SmackDown.
  • The moment comes right after Roman Reigns requested Punk acknowledge him as his Tribal Chief.
  • Heyman can be seen saying "don't" to Punk, and fans are wondering why he didn't want Punk to acknowledge Reigns.

The contract is signed and, by now, the ink will be dry. On SmackDown last Friday, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins made their triple threat at WrestleMania official. Not only that, but three of them will be competing in WrestleMania 41 night one's main event. However, having watched the segment back, some fans were drawn to Paul Heyman's reaction at a very specific moment during the contract signing.

Roman Reigns Requests CM Punk Acknowledge Him As His Tribal Chief

Confirmation that Punk will finally get to headline a WrestleMania - something he has been vocal about missing out on in the past - has been one of the biggest takeaways. So much so that towards the end of the signing, Reigns demanded Punk thank him for the opportunity and acknowledge him as his Tribal Chief. Punk obliged, but in the most Punk way possible, throwing in a Big Dog reference to make sure he got under Reigns' skin.

Punk also had Heyman squirming once again by the end of his faux acknowledgment, referencing the favor he's owed by The Wiseman and noting that getting him a spot in the main event of WrestleMania isn't it. However, the moment that convinced many that Punk and Heyman are in cahoots came before The Second City Saint had even said a word.

What Was Paul Heyman Trying To Say To CM Punk?

After Reigns requested Punk acknowledge him, naturally, all eyes shifted to Punk. However, those who have watched back noticed Heyman seemingly trying to relay a message to Punk. The Hall of Famer looks directly at Punk, shaking his head, and mouths what appears to be the word "don't". In context, that appears to be Heyman urging Punk not to acknowledge Reigns.

Heyman not wanting Punk to acknowledge Reigns may well be the biggest tease yet that Heyman is going to betray his Tribal Chief at WrestleMania and side with Punk. Some fans have suggested the "don't" is Heyman urging Punk not to say anything stupid. However, Heyman looks serious when he says it. Almost as if he doesn't want Punk to jeopardize a plan that's in motion rather than requesting he not say something that would cause a surprisingly smooth contract signing to erupt into chaos.

Even though Punk vs. Reigns vs. Rollins alone is a big enough match all by itself, there's clearly a twist coming. Whether it be the favor Punk plans on cashing in, or Heyman effectively betraying an entire Bloodline, the main event of WrestleMania 41's first night will not simply end with one of these three men having their hand raised.
