The wrestling future of Chris Jericho remains up in the air. We're fast approaching the first anniversary of his last match in AEW. His absence led many to believe he was WWE-bound. Those beliefs eventually dissipated when he didn't turn up at the start of the year, but now some easter eggs that seem to be Jericho-related have reignited those return rumors.
X user left2reigns has compiled a video showcasing the three from very recent episodes of Raw that seem to be references to Jericho. With more than 13,000 likes and a boatload of replies agreeing with their conclusion, quite a few of you are now convinced that the references to various periods from Jericho's past are more than just a mere coincidence.
The first comes from Seth Rollins. When yelling at Paul Heyman on Raw, Rollins comments on how it was a mistake to let The Advocate into his inner circle. The Inner Circle was a stable once led by Jericho in AEW. That one reference alone isn't enough to assume a comeback is imminent, of course, but there were three in quick succession, including a reference to a second Jericho-led AEW stable.

When dressing down The Usos, CM Punk comments on how lucky Jimmy and Jey were to have sat under The Wild Samoans' Learning Tree. Not nearly as popular as The Inner Circle, but The Learning Tree is another gimmick Jericho used in AEW. Punk is responsible for the third potential Jericho reference, too, made during the promo segment that went somewhat viral this week, as it reminded fans of how Roman Reigns struggled on the mic before being forced to step up by John Cena years ago.
When questioning Reigns' comments claiming he plans to retire him, Punk informed The OTC that he "just made the list" since countless people have made that threat to Punk over the years. It's this one that the most fans will have picked up on of the three references, as Jericho adding people to his list was not only a popular gimmick born in WWE, but it stuck around for far longer than his Inner Circle and Learning Tree stables.
It's worth noting that this happens often, and it doesn't always lead to anything. Sometimes it's WWE having some fun, or even the Superstars themselves toying with the fans and management not even noticing. It could even be one big coincidence, although three pretty overt references like this in quick succession make that seem unlikely. Perhaps we are going to see Jericho back in WWE soon, and if so, considering the time of year, my money would be on him showing up the night after WrestleMania.
