The pro wrestling world mourns the loss of the son of a former WWE star. 13 years after his father passed away, Daniel Moody sadly died at the age of 34 on Monday.

He was best-known by his stage name, “DJ Pringle.” Additionally, he carried a legacy as the son of Paul Bearer, one of the best managers in the World Wrestling Federation/World Wrestling Entertainment history. Initially, a GoFundMe was launched to help with medical costs after Moody suffered a “major health crisis” after a procedure in November. Now, they are looking for assistance with his funeral costs.

“Daniel was the son of Paul Bearer — a man whose voice, presence, and character became part of wrestling history forever. And like so many second-generation names, Daniel carried that connection with him, while also being his own person in the wrestling world,” Steve Stasiak of the Book Pro Wrestlers agency wrote on Facebook.

Daniel Moody Paid Homage To His Father With Wrestling Name

Although he never rose to the level of fame his father had conquered by working alongside one of the greatest of all time, “The Undertaker,” Daniel Moody paid homage to Paul Bearer. His wrestling name was inspired by his father, who first came into the business as Percy Pringle.

He then evolved into the urn-carrying Paul Bearer, who starred in multiple thrilling and scary storylines over the years.

Paul Bearer died on March 5, 2013, of a heart attack. Four years before, his wife, Dianna, died after battling breast cancer. Moody left a daughter, according to the GoFundMe.
