WWE NXT Results (12/9/25) – A Brutal End of Year Coming
Courtesy of WWE

The December 9, 2025, edition of WWE NXT emanated from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, FL. NXT Deadline 2025 saw the crowning of a new NXT Champion, as Oba Femi defeated Ricky Saints. Also, Je’Von Evans and WWE Evolve Champion Kendal Grey won the Iron Survivor Challenges and so will face the NXT Men’s and Women’s Champions, respectively, at WWE NXT New Year’s Evil on January 6, 2026.

Three matches were advertised for this week’s NXT episode : Jordynne Grace vs. Kelani Jordan, Blake Monroe’s NXT Women’s North American Championship Open Challenge, and the debut of Shiloh Hill. Because TNA is involved, let’s Nygma dive into what happened last night.

Je’Von Evans Doesn’t Want to Wait Till 2026

The new NXT Champion, Oba Femi, kicked off the show. Before their match at Saturday Night Main Event XLII this Saturday, he sent a message to Cody Rhodes, “He will not see the future, he will see the now!” Here came Ricky Saints, who asked Oba Femi for a rematch. “I gave you your shot, now I’m demanding my rematch for the NXT Championship.”

Je’Von Evans, the Iron Survivor Challenge winner, arrived. He said that he’s on fire, so he doesn’t want to wait till NXT New Year’s Evil and face Femi tonight. Ricky Saints tried to stop him, asking him to wait until he had his rematch. Femi replied to the two “beltless, titleless, Championshipless” guys; he has never been afraid of Evans, and tonight won’t be different. So, Game On, as NXT General Manager Ava confirmed later.

The “Standard” Proves She Really is

Kelani Jordan targeted Jordynne Grace’s leg early and often, but The Juggernaut powered through it and still managed to toss her opponent around the ring with suplexes. Grace grabbed a steel chair and intended to use it. Jordan managed to kick Grace off the steel steps and through the barricade. Jordan then tossed her back into the ring and hit an incredible 450 Splash to pick up the win. After the match, Grace asked herself why she couldn’t beat Jordan. Thea Hail told Grace to start to believe in herself even more.

Blake Monroe’s Open Challenge

The ferocious competitor that she is decided to have an Open Challenge for the NXT Women’s North American Championship. Blake Monroe wasn’t expecting a dozen talents coming to the ring. She reminded everyone she only has two hands (I have one and a half for the moment, and I can do a lot of things…).

Thea Hail attacked her from behind, trapped her in the Kimura Lock, and made her tap out. As the match never started, Hail didn’t become the Champion, but all the women surrounded Monroe, who suddenly felt very lonely.

Shiloh Hill’s NXT Debut

Shiloh Hill was fired up for his debut. Lexis King did his best, but Hill was relentless once he removed his mouthguard. Without one tooth, he hit his signature Whisper to the Beast to win the match. The Undertaker’s protégé in LFG is full of surprises. As The Deadman confirmed, “The Toothless Agression Era is officially underway!”

Tony D’Angelo Shut Ethan Page Up

Ethan Page was ranting about wrestlers being more preoccupied with social media. They have better stare at him and his two titles. In All Ego‘s way, he said that, “Ethan Page is the biggest Superstar that WWE has to offer!” Here came Tony D’Angelo, who shut him up and threw some black things on him.

Sol Ruca, Wren Sinclair, And Zaria…

Sol Ruca and Wren Sinclair battled it out in the middle of the ring, with the former NXT Women’s North American Champion walking out with the win. Sinclair used her mat skills to keep Ruca pinned to the mat, but the former champion rallied thanks to her swift striking and athletic mindset. Sinclair’s lone mistake came when she found herself in the drop zone for a picture-perfect Sol Snatcher.

After the match, Ruca saw Zaria in the rafters and started to chase her, but Fatal Influence made their way to the ring to talk with the Women’s Iron Survivor Challenge winner, Kendal Grey, who was at ringside. Jacy Jayne told Grey, with Sinclair by her side, that her reality would smack her in the face at New Year’s Evil when she lost the NXT Women’s Championship match.

…And Fatal Influence and Kendal Grey

By telling her the truth, Jayne confirmed, “I have no problem being the bad guy.” Holding the NXT Women’s Championship is a whole different level than the WWE Evolve Championship. Jayne said that 2025 was her year. She is also a historic maker; “I am a rockstar in this ring.”

Grey acknowledged that she is the rookie and has a lot to learn. No one expected her to win the Iron Survivor Challenge, as Jayne did with Stephanie Vaquer. She may be new to the game, but she’s ready to create another seismic shakeup of the NXT Women’s Division at New Year’s Evil. Enough was said; the brawl erupted.

Oba Femi Retains Because of Ricky Saints

Oba Femi remains on top of NXT as he conquered Je’Von Evans to remain NXT Champion. The Young OG came out firing, downing Femi with a series of jumping knee strikes as well as a twisting kick. Evans nearly had the match won after sending Femi onto the announce table and hitting a pair of splashes, but The Ruler somehow kicked out.

The challenger overcame the brutal strikes of the champion to hit a pair of Cutters, but former NXT Champion Ricky Saints appeared and dragged the official out of the ring. Evans took Saints out, but walked into a massive match-ending Fall From Grace by The Ruler.

Meanwhile, backstage…

  • “I have nothing left to lose, but you do.” One by one, Tatum Paxley plans to destroy The Culling and Izzi Dame by any means necessary.
  • NXT Champion Oba Femi hoped Cody Rhodes could watch his match tonight.
  • Dion Lennox, Myles Borne, TNA’s Leon Slater, and Joe Hendry will square off in a No. 1 Contenders Match next week to determine the NXT Champion’s New Year’s Evil opponent.
  • No more Open Challenges, Blake Monroe will face Thea Hail for the Women’s North American Championship next week.
  • ZaRuca is not over as Sol Ruca and Zaria hugged outside.

Nygma Says

This Fallout episode from NXT Deadline was huge. Once again, I enjoyed it from start to finish. How unpredictable some things were, which means the last episodes of 2025 will be epic. I’ll see you next week as I keep on exploring the NXT world through the NXTNA “cold war.” Till then, may the Nygma be with you.
