Booker T Welcomes The Crowd

Being from Houston, Texas, Booker T. welcomes the live audience at 713 Music Hall. He gives a short preview for all that is set for the night, before announcing that the eight-person mixed tag team match is kicking off the show.

Eight-Person Mixed Tag Team Match

Hank Walker, Tank Ledger, Zaria & Sol Ruca were set to take on The Culling’s Shawn Spears, Niko Vance, Izzi Dame & Tatum Paxley after weeks of back and forth. Despite never teaming together before, Walker, Ledger, Zaria, and Ruca had undeniable chemistry. The turning point came when an unexpected interruption took place.

This match was the perfect grounds for DarkState, and they appeared in the crowd. When the lights came back on, Paxley was pinning Zaria, and managed to pick up the victory for The Culling ultimately. What did Paxley do to Zaria when the lights were off, and was the DarkState interference pre-planned?

NXT and TNA Double Champ Jacy Jayne Addresses NXT Universe

Newly-minted NXT Women’s Champion and TNA Knockouts World Champion Jacy Jayne comes out to the ring with Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx. Jayne is in full gloat mode, and she claims she achieved all this by herself.

As she is giving this speech, Lash Legend interrupts her, and she has gold on her mind. Jaida Parker interrupts her, and she wants to be next in line. This descends into a brawl, which ends with Legend and Parker in the ring by themselves.

Wren Sinclair Gets Support Backstage

Wren Sinclair is backstage getting some words of encouragement from her No Quarter Catch Crew friends, Charlie Dempsey and Tavion Heights. Former member Myles Borne also appears, and lets it be known that he will be there to support her ringside too, when she takes on Blake Monroe. In the background, Lexis King can be seen kicking things about.

Ricky Saints vs. Jasper Troy

Ricky Saints and Jasper Troy’s issues started recently, and this would be their first official match against each other. The match soon spilled to the outside, and Saints found himself going through the walkout platform, which Troy took full advantage of. Troy beat the referee’s count, thus winning the match, but this feud is surely far from over.

Trick Williams and The Undertaker Have a Confrontation

TNA World Champion Trick Williams comes out and fires the first shot, and he calls out The Undertaker. The Undertaker comes out (as The American Bada--!) and schools Williams. When Williams still tries to run his mouth, he ends up getting chokeslammed.

Michelle McCool Advises Fatal Influence

Fatal Influence is in the locker room when Michelle McCool appears and offers them advice. She suggests that Nyx should take on Parker, and Henley should take on Legend. They agree, and Jayne sets off to make it official with NXT General Manager Ava.

Blake Monroe vs. Wren Sinclair

Although Wren Sinclair was determined and tried her best, Blake Monroe made light work of the NQCC’s first lady. As expected, Jordynne Grace found a way to get into the building, despite being banned by Ava. Monroe managed to deliver a DDT to Grace onto a steel chair on the outside of the ring.

Ethan Page Reveals New Championship

NXT North American Champion Ethan Page came to the ring to address the NXT Universe. He also revealed that he had a new design for the championship, inspired by his home country – Canada. As Page was singing the Canadian national anthem, TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella interrupted him, and it appears the two could soon meet in a ring.

Oba Femi, Trick Williams, and Jacy Jayne Run Into Each Other

Backstage, Williams is still reeling from the effects of The Undertaker’s chokeslam. He comes across NXT Champion Oba Femi but, before things could get more intense, Jayne cuts between them.

Oba Femi vs. Josh Briggs vs. Yoshiki Inamura [NXT Championship]

It was only a matter of time before Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura’s issues took over this match. Femi remains undefeated in triple-threat matches, and that was something he was not willing to let go of. Briggs and Inamura worked together at certain points, but it never lasted.

Femi ultimately capitalized on this, and managed to pick up a victory. This extends Femi’s reign (and triple-threat match record) but, for Briggs and Inamura, this proved that the cracks in their friendship run deep. Moving forward, Briggs and Inamura could focus on their personal issues.
