WWE NXT Results Dec. 9, 2025: Blake Monroe Open Challenge, Oba Femi's First Night as Champion

New NXT Champion Oba Femi kicked off the show by walking to the ring and... dancing? Not exactly the intimidating entrance you'd expect from the monster who just demolished the field at Deadline.

Femi wasted no time launching into his championship celebration promo, and credit where it's due — he had the crowd eating out of his hand. Before he could finish soaking in the moment, Ricky Starks interrupted, demanding his rematch. And before Starks could make his case, Je'Von Evans came out asking for a title shot tonight.

The three-way promo worked. Femi accepted Evans' challenge, meaning we're getting an NXT Championship match later tonight.

Will the title change hands already? Probably not. But Evans has been on fire lately, so this should be worth watching.

This is NXT's first show post-Deadline San Antonio, and it sure does look promising.

Oba Femi dethroned Ricky Saints to reclaim the NXT Championship on Saturday. Kendal Grey shocked everyone by winning the Women's Iron Survivor Challenge. Je'Von Evans survived 25 minutes of chaos in the Men's Iron Survivor to earn his New Year's Evil title shot.

Now comes the fallout.

Blake Monroe headlines tonight with an open challenge for her NXT Women's North American Championship. Jordynne Grace  and Kelani Jordan settle their Deadline score after costing each other the Iron Survivor.

Hank & Tank return from Japan as GHC Tag Team Champions. LFG Season 2 winner Shiloh Hill makes his in-ring debut.

Sol Ruca and Zaria try to fix their fractured friendship. And new champion Oba Femi gets the mic for the first time since reclaiming his throne.

NXT airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET on The CW from the Performance Center. New champion Oba Femi faces Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night's Main Event in four days.
