WWE NXT Star Could Finally Be About To Get Called Up

WWE has started 2026 by freshening up the RAW and SmackDown rosters with the addition of NXT talent. Je'Von Evans, Trick Williams, and Jordynne Grace have moved up to the main roster, while Oba Femi is set to do so after vacating his NXT Championship at New Year's Evil.

WWE Considering Jacy Jayne Call Up

Some of those spent lengthy spells in NXT, while others, such as Evans, did not. But WWE might be about to finally call upon Jacy Jayne, who has been in developmental for nearly five years and is the reigning NXT Women's Champion.

According to Fightful Select, Jayne's name has been discussed as a potential main roster move. There is a belief amongst NXT's higher-ups that she has "risen to the occasion" in 2025.

Jayne has made a main roster appearance before, featuring on SmackDown back in 2022, and it's suggested that semi-regular discussions about a call-up have occurred since that August 2022 showing.

The 29-year-old is currently the leader of the three-woman stable Fatal Influence, so if she were to be called up, it would be interesting to see what happens with Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid. She was in action last night at NXT New Year's Evil, successfully defending her title against rising star Kendal Grey.

Fatal Influence Should Be Called Up as a Faction

WWE's women's division is extremely strong and adding Jayne to the mix on RAW or SmackDown means she'll be in competition with a stacked pool of talent for regular TV time. She has shown she has the tools to succeed, but we've seen many similar stars arrive on the main roster and fade into the background.

If Jayne were to be joined on either of WWE's main brands by Henley and Reid, it would be a fresh debut for a singles star and allow her to continue playing a dastardly heel leader of Fatal Influence. A woman's stable deserves focus this year as we haven't seen one on either RAW or SmackDown since Damage CTRL.

Solo Sikoa's MFT, The Vision and the Wyatt Sicks (albeit with Nikki Cross) are male factions being showcased. Jayne arriving as a leader of a group would be a fresh way to bring her onto the main roster.
