WWE's women's division is thriving across the board including in NXT where Shawn Michaels is doing a fine job showcasing female talent. The likes of Jacy Jayne, Blake Monroe, Tatum Paxley, Jordynne Grace and Kendal Grey all look likely to be major players once they reach the main roster.

This year has seen several call-ups, including Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer and former Women's United States Champion Giulia. WWE are pinning their hopes on the latest female star to arrive on the main roster to have a breakout year in 2026.

WWE Expect Lash Legend To Have 'Breakout Year'

Lash Legend arrived on SmackDown last month and made an instant impact when she aligned with Nia Jax ahead of Survivor Series: WarGames. Her debut saw her attack Alexa Bliss and she was soon destroying the likes of Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky and Charlotte Flair in backstage segments.

The 28-year-old was handed her PLE debut at Survivor Series, and she entered the women's WarGames match as the final entrant. She was dominant early on until Asuka inadvertently sprayed mist in her face, which effectively wrote her out of the match.

According to Bodyslam.net, WWE officials are "very high" on Lash and were "very happy" with her performance in WarGames. They are also pleased with her recent promo segments and are confident that a "breakout" year is on the horizon.

Lash signed with WWE in December 2020 and performed in NXT up until November, when she earned a call-up to SmackDown. She was never booked in the NXT Women's Championship title picture nor positioned as a main eventer on the brand.

Triple H appears to have plans for her to continue being a force to be reckoned with on Friday nights and that speaks volumes of how highly she is rated backstage. Her partnership with Nia put her with one of the women's division's top heels.

Bianca Belair Expects Greatness From Lash Legend

Lash not only has the support of WWE's decision-makers but also Bianca Belair, who knows all about making the jump from NXT to the main roster. She's passed that challenge with flying colours, main eventing WrestleMania and winning three world titles.

Belair is currently injured and her return date is still unknown due to a delay in her recovery from a hand injury suffered at WrestleMania 41 in April. But she has already suggested that she'll be eyeing a match with Lash once she's cleared to compete.

The EST of WWE gave a glowing verdict of the former college and professional basketball player when speaking to Brad Gilmore on The Collection last year:

"When she first came in, any collegiate athlete, I feel they have a similar background as me, I always saw her when she first came in, and she recently had a great showing. I’m so happy for her, she had a great showing. I think there is a lot of greatness to come from her. I would be so excited to get in the ring with her one day."

Lash for now, will continue her partnership with Ni,a but could be expected to go solo once WWE heads towards Mania. If she continues to wow the higher-ups, she may well be pushed as quickly as Bianca was after she landed on the main roster.
