WWE Officials Set To Put World Title on 'Next Roman Reigns'

WWE has reportedly identified who will follow in Roman Reigns' footsteps and become the company's top star for years to come. Reigns has transcended the business and become one of the all-time greats, and it seems WWE's higher-ups are confident one of their rising stars will follow suit.

WWE Think Bron Breakker is Next Roman Reigns

Bron Breakker is who WWE are pinning their hopes on becoming their next "true big star", according to Bodyslam.net. There is an expectation that he will become as big a name as Reigns and the face of the company for years to come.

The 28-year-old is set to challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship on the RAW on Netflix anniversary show on January 5, 2026. But discussions within WWE have made him the frontrunner to win the Royal Rumble on January 31st and the world title at some stage next year.

Breakker has been showcased as a major threat in recent months, which included being at the forefront of The Vision's betrayal of Seth Rollins. He pinned Punk in the Survivor Series: WarGames match and has since cut two acclaimed promos hyping up their match next month.

WWE has long shown its faith in Breakker, dating back to his NXT days when he became a two-time NXT Champion. He then headed to the main roster last year and became Intercontinental Champion.

Breakker's partnership with Paul Heyman only further indicates he is viewed as a potential megastar, as the WWE Hall of Famer was used to help Reigns reach his potential back in 2020. He more than succeeded as The Tribal Chief's 'Wiseman', and a similar situation could be ensuing with the man whom the promotion wants to position as the next Reigns.

Seth Rollins To Derail Bron Breakker's World Title Push?

The elephant in the room regarding Breakker's surge to the world title picture has been Rollins' situation, given that he will inevitably be out for revenge. He was written off TV after suffering a shoulder injury at Crown Jewel, and it was Breakker who got Bronson Reed and Heyman on board for betraying the stable's former leader.

The outlet above reports that there have been slight discussions over plans for Rollins and The Vision for when the former World Heavyweight Champion returns. But such plans aren't locked in and are dependent on timing and when he can return.

A Breakker and Rollins feud makes sense once he does return, and the initial prognosis when the injury occurred was that he'd be back around March. This is a month before WrestleMania 42, which could lead to possible involvement in a world title match.

Recent reports have suggested Breakker's planned Mania match next year will be against Punk for the world title. But with them squaring off on RAW next month that could open the door for a triple threat match with Breakker winning the Rumble and Rollins wanting a rematch for the title he was forced to vacate.
