Austin Theory has officially been revealed as the masked wrestler. Fans in Hershey, PA were as unsurprised as those watching around the world on Netflix. That's not necessarily a bad thing; it's just the reality of the internet.
Theory was leaked as the masked man weeks ago. Aware of this, WWE chose to make the reveal in a way that was important, but not overhyped as the hook for a single episode.
The only indicator we had that the masked man would be revealed was when Adam Pearce told Paul Heyman that he wanted to know "by the end of the night." That felt more like a passing comment than the reason for the main event.
Theory's been revealed, but his motivations remain a mystery. That's the million-dollar question for WWE right now. Fans know 'who' he is, but why is he back? Why has he been helping The Vision?

Technically, we don't know if Theory is back to join The Vision. Honestly, that may be up in creative air right now. If you noticed, WWE has intentionally had Paul Heyman thread the line about his involvement. Heyman could have been behind this, or he could have been just as surprised as everyone else. Technically, if Theory doesn't join The Vision, it will justify Heyman's testimony all along.
Theory's return isn't about The Vision. It's about him.
The Vision is not like The Bloodline. The group is not going to be together for 4-5 years. The main players don't have that long. The whole point of the group is to assemble the stars of the future.

AND DOES THE VISION HAVE A NEW MEMBER? pic.twitter.com/OKYkyEZAZq
Bron Breakker and Logan Paul have been positioned as main attractions for the next 10+ years. The same has now been done for Austin Theory.
Inevitably, Theory will turn babyface. I expect that to happen sooner rather than later. Even if Theory officially joins the Vision, expect him to feel like an outlier. Fans will not treat him as a monster heel. Did you hear Hershey's chants last night?
WWE has to differentiate these "Paul Heyman guys." They can't all be like Brock Lesnar.
My prediction is we get Logan Paul vs. Austin Theory at WrestleMania. Here's how I would book it in 5 steps.
The next generation needs a role model who embodies values like hustle, loyalty, and respect.
Cena's gone, but Austin Theory is here.
