WWE Smackdown comes to you live tonight from Greensboro, North Carolina. After WWE Backlash John Cena retained his Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton with a grab bag of heel tactics and an assist by R-Truth. There will surely be more fallout from the show, so let's see what WWE has cooked up tonight.

There Will Be Money In The Bank Qualifying Matches Tonight

With the next WWE PLE happening in three weeks, the company has to move quickly with Money In The Bank qualifying matches for both men and women. WWE has yet to announce who will actually be competing in the matches, but we have a prediction of who will be in the matches already.

On the women's side, the likes of Naomi, Jade Cargill, Zelina Vega and Chelsea Green should all be in the mix for qualifying matches. For the men, Carmelo Hayes, Aleister Black and Rey Fenix all seem like good picks on Smackdown.

What & Who Is On Smackdown Tonight?

WWE hasn't put out much in the way of officially announced matches or promos for tonight's show, but going off current storylines we can expect some of these storylines and wrestlers to be featured:

  • Nia Jax won a number one contender's match last week over Jade Cargill. She will face Tiffany Stratton at some point for the WWE Women's Championship. Perhaps a match announcement for Saturday Night's Main Event on May 24th is coming?
  • John Cena retained his WWE Undisputed Championship at WWE Backlash, but with an unexpected assist from R-Truth. Cena isn't advertised for tonight, but Randy Orton and R-Truth can always develop this story further.
  • Jeff Cobb made his presence felt at WWE Backlash as he debuted to assist Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, but there was clearly some tension between Cobb and Fatu. This could turn ugly very quickly.
