WWE SmackDown Preview (3/6/26) – Fallout from Elimination Chamber
WWE

WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 in Chicago upped the ante on the way to WrestleMania 42. We now have two new number one contenders for the Undisputed WWE and WWE Women’s Titles, plus an #AndNEW champion to boot. This Friday night, we deal with the fallout from the “Windy City” PLE. Here’s a WWE SmackDown preview for March 6, 2026, in Portland, Oregon. Let’s run it down.

An Irresistible Celebration

Nia Jax and Lash Legend did the unthinkable on last week’s WWE SmackDown by dethroning RHIYO, Rhea Ripley, and IYO SKY to become the #AndNEW WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. The WWE Universe has never seen RHIYO, two former world champions, get dominated in the fashion Jax and Legend did this past Friday night.

Throughout the match, Ripley and SKY had trouble getting their offense started, and it just never recovered. Before everyone knew it, The Irresistible Forces were now sporting gold. Jax and Legend were so elated to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles that they declared that they would have a huge celebration this week, ushering in an era that not many have seen in the division in a long time.

We hope this party goes off without a hitch, as many teams are still on the prowl to knock down the powerhouses from their perch.

One. More. Match.

Drew McIntyre caused all sorts of havoc this past Saturday night in Chicago, interfering in the Men’s Chamber Match that may have cost Cody Rhodes his ticket to WrestleMania 42. McIntyre would assault Rhodes before getting RKO’d by Randy Orton to take him out of the equation. Orton would get his hand raised at the end of a violent Elimination Chamber Match.

McIntyre thought he had outsmarted everyone by knocking off his arch-rival in the title scene. Unfortunately, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis was not about to take this lying down. On the Elimination Chamber Post-Show, Aldis said he wants this done the right, telling McIntyre he needs to earn his spot at WrestleMania 42, setting up an Undisputed WWE Title Match between Drew and Cody Rhodes.

For close to half a year, McIntyre and Rhodes have waged war, leaving no stone unturned in their mission to destroy one another and become Undisputed WWE Champion. This Friday night, Rhodes and McIntyre write what is potentially the final chapter of this storied rivalry, and it could not come with a bigger stipulation: becoming champion and main-eventing the “Showcase of the Immortals,” WrestleMania 42.

Watch it all unfold on The USA Network and Netflix internationally!
