The first WWE Premium Live Event on ESPN Unlimited, WWE Wrestlepaloza, left the WWE Universe with many moments and matches to ponder for the foreseeable future. That said, the train keeps on rolling for WWE, as it visits home base, Orlando, Florida, as we deal with the fallout from Last Saturday’s exciting PLE. If you’re all set, then let’s get right into it. Here’s a WWE SmackDown preview for September 26, 2025. Let’s run it down.
WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton has held the title for nearly 300 days, since winning it by cashing in Money in the Bank to kick off the first SmackDown of 2025. Since then, she has defeated some of the best to do it. Names such as Bayley, Charlotte Flair, and even the legendary Trish Stratus come to mind, along with the two women she’ll face this week in a Three-Way, Nia Jax and Jade Cargill.
Both women have an axe to grind with Stratton. Tiffany became champion at the expense of Nia Jax, a person whom she referred to as her best friend and mentor, before going all in and taking the title away from her on the first SmackDown to welcome the new year. Time and again, Nia failed to regain the title, but she’s not about to give up anytime soon.
The same goes for Jade Cargill. While Stratton didn’t explicitly “screw” her out of anything, most think Cargill has had Stratton’s number for a long time now. If it wasn’t for the oversights of WWE officials, as well as other competitors in the division thumbing their nose at Cargill’s and Stratton’s business, The “Storm” could be WWE Women’s Champion right now.
It all came to a head last week on SmackDown, where things got so heated they had to be pulled apart by WWE officials, as well as be talked down by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. The SmackDown GM promised they’ll get their pound of flesh this Friday in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Women’s Title.
All involved are locked in for Orlando. Who will come out on top as the Queen of the SmackDown women’s division?
Find out this Friday night in the Wrestlepalooza fallout edition of WWE SmackDown, which you can catch on The USA Network and on Netflix!
