WWE SmackDown Card Tonight (8/22/25):

WWE SmackDown Spoilers & Results (8/22/25):

  • To kick off the first televised SmackDown in Dublin, home country girl and WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch rolls in from WWE Raw to greet her fellow Irishmen. Lynch was all smiles, reminiscing about the times WWE had been in Ireland and dreaming of a live, televised WWE show in her country. Becky would soon turn on her own people, saying that they don’t deserve the airtime, do not deserve their time in the sun because they don’t appreciate “their hero.” Lynch would run down her accolades, wanting to prove why she deserved every accolade and recognition she has achieved, thus far, including her “very hot American husband.” No one was spared, with Lynch going off on Irish celebrities before getting interrupted by WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton. SmackDown’s champion got right in Lynch’s face, stating that if the former “Lass Kicker” doesn’t want to leave her show, she’ll make her. Nia Jax would interject, telling Stratton she has bigger fish to fry with her before beating her down as Lynch watches. Jade Cargill would get involved, prying Jax off of Tiffy. Lynch would try to square up with Cargill before high-tailing out of there. Nick Aldis knew exactly what to do, and after a call with WWE Raw GM Adam Pearce, Becky Lynch and Nia Jax will battle Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill in the main event.
  • Melo Don’t Miz look to keep the momentum going as they go up against The Motor City Machine Guns for the first bout of the night. MCMG was rolling tonight, showcasing why they’re considered one of the best tag teams of the last two decades. However, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin would not walk away with the W. Carmelo Hayes would go on a roll, before The Miz would tag himself in. A bit of miscommunication happened between Melo Don’t Miz. Hayes would hit Sabin with the First 48 before Shelley would Clothesline him out of the ring. Still, the legal man in the match, Miz would cover Sabin for the win, advancing to a number one contender’s match for the WWE Tag Team Championship next week.
  • One-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Charlotte Flair, picks a fight with Secret HERvice member Piper Niven as they go one-on-one. Flair was on her A-Game again tonight, pulling out the greatest hits, like the Moonsault, Spear, and Figure-8 Leglock. Unfortunately, The Green Regime would be too much to handle. With Alba Fyre distracting the official, Flair would lock in the Figure-8. Green would rake Flair in the eyes, leading to her releasing the hold and Niven hitting the Piper Driver for the pin.
  • Earlier in the night, we saw Logan Paul arrive in Dublin, Ireland, and he will join John Cena in the ring for a confrontation before their battle at WWE Clash in Paris. For the first and final televised time, John Cena enters the building in Dublin. Before Cena could even speak a word, Logan Paul would interrupt. Paul would not fool around, going after the fans and Cena himself, calling him a “corporate pawn” and “professional pretender.” Logan would say that the sooner the WWE Universe accepts he’s the future, the better. Cena would flip the script and “drop some knowledge” on Logan Paul, stating that he’s not accepted because he’s a “parasite” who thinks having 30+ matches in WWE over four years entitles him to the affection of the WWE Universe. John Cena would cap it off by saying that Paul has a lot of “hustle.” However, he has no idea what “loyalty” or “respect” means, and he should bring it all to Paris, as he’s going to find out what it means to “give” to the WWE Universe rather than “take,” going up against the “Greatest of All-Time.” Paul would take exception to this and get physical with John. Of course, Cena did not take this lying down, delivering an Attitude Adjustment to “The Maverick.”
  • Tonga Loa and JC Mateo enter the ring as they prepare for war against The Street Profits. The Profits were rolling tonight. That said, it was an uphill battle all match, with Solo Sikoa and Talla Tonga constantly causing distractions from the outside. Sami Zayn and Jimmy Uso would not let them lose this battle, running Siko and Talla out of the 3Arena. With a Skyhigh from Angelo Dawkins, Montez Ford would scale the heavens and deliver a picture-perfect Frog Splash, advancing next week to a number one contender’s match for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
  • Backstage, we see Aleister Black as he looks to execute R-Truth once and for all next. R-Truth would not arrive in Dublin, Ireland, saying it was “his bad” as he mistook Dublin, Ireland, for Dublin, Georgia, where he currently was. Instead, Truth had his “little friend” to confront Black. Damian Priest would make a beeline for Aleister, brawling with him all over the 3Arena.
  • Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett would try to provide a medical update regarding Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. Unfortunately, nothing was substantial yet. The man who attacked him, Drew McIntyre, would offer his own “update,” referring to Rhodes as “little b*tch.” McIntyre would continue and say that Cody better hold on to the title for as long as he can because when Drew gets a hold of him, he’ll destroy him again, and this time, he’ll take the title. McIntyre continued running his mouth, stating that Rhodes had no friends and everyone was gunning for him. McIntyre was proven wrong on this night, with Randy Orton making his presence felt with an RKO on Drew.
  • In a star-studded main event, Becky Lynch and Nia Jax take on Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill. The main event was a fast and furious affair. Unfortunately, Jax would be left to fend for herself. When things got tough, Lynch would exit the 3Arena. Stratton created offense for Cargill, and Jade hit a Splash to win the main event for her team.
  • As the show was closing, we saw Nick Aldis chasing after John Cena, stating that Brock Lesnar had finally called his office. Before the WWE Universe could learn what Lesnar wanted, Logan Paul would lay out John Cena, prompting Aldis to call for help as the SmackDown in Dublin ended.

That’s all for the REAL-TIME WWE SmackDown spoilers and results for August 22, 2025.
